We know that seeing something on a survey doesn't necessarily mean that it's in the works, but as far as sources for divination go, you could do a lot worse. So you'll understand why our interest was piqued when we saw a new PSP survey on PSP Fanboy that's being circulated.
Among the features hinted at by the survey are social networking functionality on the system's XMB, faster loading times for games and a touch screen. Give the full survey a look, and let us know which features you'd like to see implemented.

How about: "Make some more danged games."
Is that on there? Suuuch a bad year for PSP. I want to buy one for a few titles I want to play but I just can't justify it. Same problem for me with PS3 - a few titles I REALLY want, but the price just pushes me back. It's a shame, honestly. I'm not hating on Sony, just disappointed that they haven't sold me yet.

give me trophies on my psp that link to my PSN and add to my level, give me a friends list so i can send messages to my buddies when i'm away from my ps3, more downloadable games on the PSN Store, i could go either way with Home adaptation... not sure how it would work. just let it be accessable with remote play and i'll be happy. there. done and done...

Why would sony even consider adding home to something else, although the PSP's Home button would finally make sense.

Social Features on the XMB??? you mean like Friends list, messaging etc????? Would be hot to be able to do that......see a friend in your friend list and it says: "Aggie_CEO: via PSP: Resistance Retribution"
That would be cool......

Did they change the browser's keyboard thing yet?
Or is it still like a phone keyboard?

Press select a few times, you can get the standard keyboard. It's been like this for months lol.

Home and comics are not neccisary.
2 analog sticks and a touchscreen keyboard (which would come with touchscreen abilities of course)
The size is fine, but. Making it more COMFORTABLE would be a huge plus. It really needs contours.
Stick with flash cards (cough*homebrew*cough)
I wouldn't want to drop my PSP and lose all my stuff due to the fact the HDD broke.
Intenet anywhere means they are looking into using cell phone networks (like they hinted at during CES)
PSN store and trophies is a must.

Looks like Sony has opened my mind up and poured all the ideas into this survey.
If I could take it, I'd 5/5 everything. I hope it's all in the next PSP. But most importantly, the PSN in terms of friends list, in-game XMB, trophies, and chatting.
I do hope a keyboard is standard, and a good browser.
Do it Sony! And for $200!

Although I would love all of the features mentioned, due to the economy, Sony really needs to aim to get the PSP2 for under $200.

You know I just realized that if Sony were to implement a Trophy system on the PSP that had to 'check-in' to the PSN that they could actually use it as a measure against piracy.
For example, if you are playing Resistance: Retribution or LocoRoco 2 or whatever and you get a Trophy, the PSP would have to connect online to your PSN account to tally the gamer score right? Well if Sony could somehow make the Trophy system fully online instead of on UMD then they should be able to tell if the game is pirated or not.
I'm sure it's a lot more technical than that, but imagine that.

I think they should take that whole list and dump it into the 'TOP SECRET IT'S-NOT-REAL-BUT-PROBABLY-IS-PSP 2' folder.

I have a PSP and I barely ever touch it except for internet when I'm somewhere besides home, and I barely touch it then. Pretty much any of this would revive my interests, but some decent games especially.
Not gonna lie, I'm kind of an achievement whore, so trophies would be sweet also, especially on a handheld.
