The original soundtrack for Halo Wars will be available at supply depots and civilian stores starting February 17th. The 2-disc set is comprised of one CD -- featuring 50 minutes of music composed by Stephen Rippy (Age of Empires, Age of Mythology) and performed by the FILMharmonic Orchestra and Choir Prague -- and a DVD boasting nine more tracks, some 5.1 mixes, two trailers and one behind-the-scenes video.
The soundtrack can also be downloaded from the intertubes at sumthingdigital.com. Halo Wars will have a demo available as of February 5, and ship to North American retailers on March 3.

One of my favorite things about the Halo series... it's soundtrack. The first three didn't disappoint, so I doubt this one will.

Sounds pretty awesome, I really wish I got into strategy games so I could give this one a fair shot.

Orchestral music really sounds good in 128kbps, after all.
I don't know if they're supporting bit rates higher than that now, I haven't used their store in years.
I'd go for Amazon or Play.com, they tend to be cheaper and offer up higher quality files.

"To be honest, if it is at least 128kbps I will be pleased. I look more for efficiency than "omg it sounds just a bit better". After all, it has more to do with the hardware (headphones / speakers) than the kbps, just imo."
No, you're right, it does have more to do with the hardware. If you've got the hardware (and the ear training), though, higher bitrates are definitely preferable.
