GTA: Windy City

Takes place during prohibition in a Chicago-like city.

Seriously, somebody needs to make this game.

Here's hoping we get a revisit to a much bigger VC.

GTAIV London could be fun to kill some cockneys.

It's hard to say... I mean while there was only a year between GTA 3 and Vice City, and then two years before San Andreas, GTA 4 took a lot longer to make than GTA 3 did, and so I'm sure a sequel would take longer to make than Vice City. I don't really think it's that likely, especially since GTA 4 got delayed a few times, but I wouldn't be that surprised if a sequel did come this year.

Also, I think it's highly unliked that it'll be set anywhere other than Vice City/San Andreas, maybe London at a stretch. It wouldn't be GTA otherwise ;-;

I'm hoping for Vice City... I absolutely loved the style of it, but then that might be difficult to replicate without setting it in the 80s again...

Certainly possible, even with the hurdles of HD open-world development

I would imagine Take Two would be pleased, with GTA being their lifeline against stockholder ire

It may have been a year between GTA III and VC, but Xmas 09 would be a couple of months after the second 360 DLC. I can't see Rockstar having the second DLC usurped in such a small space of time by a full new game.

Personally, I reckon it'll be a Wii version this Christmas, if anything.

I'll put $50 on San Andreas stories - they could easily make a quick story and there are still a ton of PS2 customers including me.

I'm kinda getting tired of the "Piece of garbage nobody rising in ranks to be a superstar" story. How about you switch it up Rockstar?

Hopefully, this is just the delayed DS game. If not, I pray to Christ that they know what they're doing. They DO NOT want to shit all over the franchise now that the commoners know about it.

This is definitely not a suprise, Rockstar is very good at keeping their games under wraps until well into development. With previous GTA's I remember not reading anything about them at all, then EGM would have a preview and the release date would be like 2 months later. I prefer that to having to deal with all these concept screens a year and a half before the game comes out.

Hopefully it is a new game and not just another DLC package. I guess Lost and the Damned comes out in about a month, but then we'll have a second one coming soon as well correct? If they pace this right, people could play GTA4 right up until the release of the next one (Should we assume GTA5, or is it more than likely going to be a Vice City type game). It would be nice to see them use a new locale, although if they were to use Liberty City again and then set it in a different time, maybe have like NYC when Times Square was a completely shady area?

Maybe they can add some gameplay? Sorry, compared to Vice City and the monster that was San Andreas, GTA4 was really tame. Sorry, vote me down if you must. Wasn't impressed. And the story didn't do anything for me either. It's not the Godfather, it's just a video game. Saints Row 2 might have the writing of a pre-schooler, but it was never at a loss for mindless fun.
