Cosplay in Valkyria Chronicles gear, get free stuff at NYCC

Are you a Valkyria Chronicles fanboy or fangirl? You have a chance of getting a free limited edition art book if you go to New York Comic Con ... dressed up as a character from the game. Sega has a huge presence at the show this year, with playable demos of MADWORLD and The Conduit on display.

A recent blog post on Sega's website also notes that DLC for the game will be available soon. Stay tuned for more info.

Sega's presence is the whole damn reason I'm making the trip to NYCC, despite it being smack between Ohayocon and Katsucon.

I'd totally do a VC cosplay, but I'm too busy with costumes for the other two, and thus haven't even started playing VC yet!

I got my tickets last week. . . I was gonna go as Speed Racer as I could easily pass for Emille Hirsch's clone (or rather he could pass for my clone). I would go as a VC character but don't think i have time to make a costume. I had started working on a watchmen costume but then I realized that there are gonna be some 500 Rorschach running around because of the movie. bah! . . .

Good to see them attempting *some* kind of marketing for this game. It'll be an absolute tragedy if it never reaches a decent sales number and we never get a sequel/more DLC.

Got this one for xmas and am enjoying it immensely. It's certainly the most underrated game of 2008. Most overrated game of 2008: No More Heroes of course.

I don't usually do cosplay but if you see a Largo wandering around comicon with a hot redhead yell "Hey Gonzo!"

Probably not going this year. Still... even if i could. I dont have the skills required to make a costume. I totally would though. I wonder if they are selling the art book... make it happen Sega!

If so, that's just not fair.

the promise of dlc coming soon interests me more. i never really got the whole "dress up as a character" thing before...except for the time i wanted to buy an altair costume.
