It seems that after the cancellation and the studio closure, somebody released a bunch of character renders and video footage of the unannounced game and sent it to Unseen64. The video is a bit, uh, YouTube-quality, but it clearly shows some pretty nice lighting effects as well as the destructible environments that are Red Faction's trademark.
First, and last, look at Red Faction: B.E.A.S.T.

Well, at least there's a chance that Free Radical could be bought out and we'll still get a new Timesplitters.
Keep you fingers crossed.

Looks a bit rough now but a polished final version could have been like the Wii's very own Gears of War. very unfortunate.
Think theres any use in us throwing some emails at THQ and trying to get this brought back from the dead?

Friend, just say the word and I'm there. We would need to get a LOT of people though, seriously I am up for this idea.

Already sended em a mail, asking for either continue development on the project, or pass the project to High Voltage Software, i mean, if they could implement their Quantum 3 engine on this game, wow, Gears of War would look like its a game that the X-Box and the GameCube could had been handled quite well

I was thinking the same - it could have evolved into a Gears of War (Wii). I usually get my FPS kicks on my PC, but I am still waiting for another game that was as awesome to control and as polished as RE4:Wii.
Capcom will surely release it in a year or two - they just don't want to admit that RE:5 is more of the same old -same old game play just with HD graphics. I don't see anything from the demo's of RE:5 that is beyond the Wii.
C'mon Conduit... do us proud :-D

This is terrible news. Not that I'm a fan of this genre, but the one FPS I could tolerate last generation was Red Faction 2. Blowing up the entire (well not entire) environment was something extraordinary, especially 5-6 years ago. There had been nothing like it before.
Seeing the lack of comments on this story, especially, when compared to the amount every Conduit post receives, is very disheartening. On one side you have Red Faction, a game which has always aimed to give off that Die-Hard-Blow-Up-Everything, pushing level design to heights almost unimaginable; on the other we have Conduit, which appears to be settled on 1994 Wolfenstien-style corridors.
You people have been dining on swill for so long you think it's caviar.
