Lips DLC revealed for the rest of January

The Gamerscore Blog has posted the Lips premium DLC lineup for the remainder of January. The prices for the tracks vary arbitrarily between a straight $2 and the upwards-creeping $2.25. It's still a little weird that, for the same price, we could get gameplay elements for another three instruments with Rock Band DLC, but who are we to judge?

Song choice seems a little too odd to me. "When I grow up" by the Pussycat Dolls? I can't see any guy, or girl, for that matter, actually wanting to sing that song. The two Rihanna songs are a bit much and I don't think "Water Runs Dry" has the right tone for a party. It's actually a slow downer of a song.

Do the mics have controls on them? So i can just run Rock Band mic just by the mic itself and no controller.

There is one button on the bottom of the mic to turn it on (push and hold) and to sync (Push and release quickly). Or something like that.

You can't really blame the games as much as the state of pop music in general. When the radio songs make me yearn for the days of Stone Temple Pilots (a band I HATED with the fury of a thousand suns when they were around,) you know there's a problem.

wow, and here was I thinking that Singstar had had crappy DLC here in Europe... Lips seems to feature more bad songs, less features, and a higher price! On the other hand, atleast Lips' mics are wireless and have flashing lights in 'em?

I think the problem may be that MS is using the music imported from people's libraries to determine what to release as DLC.

Some of these songs were chosen because it is what people were using in Lips anyway, although without notes, lyrics, or the video.

So people have strange taste.

Really shut the fuck up. The songs you guys are dissing are among the most popular songs in the US right now. Rihanna is huge. So are The Pussycat Dolls. Maroon 5 is amazing and I love that they included that oldies song by The Righeous Bros.

Lips is actually looking really good. I'd definitely get it if I had any singing talent.
