House of the Dead: Overkill players in the UK and Australia will have the option to play the game in a distinctly more badass, yet vaguely cosplayer-esque style, should they choose. Sega and peripheral company Venom will release a Wii gun shell modeled after the "Hand Cannons" the AMS agents in the game carry. Amazon.co.uk is taking preorders for the item, to be shipped on February 13 (two weeks before the February 28 date they claim for the game) at a price of £12.99 ($19).
Australian zombie-haters have it even better: NeoGAFfer untoldhero (an accurate name if ever there was one) found a convincingly official-looking retail listing for a "Bang Bang Box" bundle containing the full Collector's Edition of the game, with the special sleeve and the comic book, as well as two Hand Cannons, for $89 AUD ($59 USD). That price has got to be a mistake. We've got a picture after the break of the heartbreakingly awesome package.
Sadly, we've seen nothing about the Hand Cannon in the US. We fear that Sega's deal with Venom doesn't extend out of PAL territories.

Oh God, I think I need that right now. Anything, ANYTHING, to put off using the official Zapper.

Dear Wii Gawd,
Please tell me North America (Canada + USA) is getting the Bang Bang Box version.
Sincerely,
Craving Overkill

The Nyko looks good but sucks -- the trigger is really hard to depress and the barrel is wayyy too fat. I hope this solves those problems and I might pick one up. They look awesome.

For $60 US, I would seriously think about pre-order this collector's edition with two hand-cannons. And I've never pre-ordered a game in my life.

I hope this comes to south america, if it goes out in north america it will surely come here, but first it has to be released outside the PAL region.
I think it will, just like how the collector's edition was announced first for PAL.

Dude that's plain retarded.
A Wiimote in the PAL region is the same as a Wiimote in the NTSC region.
Wiimotes all work the same, and there's no size difference. Since this is only a shell for the remote, getting an import isn't going to make any difference at all.

I've bought the Wii Zapper which control scheme did not seem well thought out at all in comparison to the prototype they had originally displayed, trigger on front...I've never felt comfortable holding or aiming with this gun as it seems more suited for hip shooting then point & shoot and I like to aim my headshots instead of moving a cursor across the screen to do so
So then I bought the Wii Laser Magnum Gun and threw it out several minutes later, this is the one with the trigger being the nunchuck...utterly useless
So then I started hunting for something avoiding all of those quirks, so I bought the Intec with removable nunchuck attachment. I found anytime I needed to shake the mote in a hurry the chuck attachment would fly off so I've only used the gun itself while holding the chuck in the other hand...I have found recently after using it for a couple months that the response time for shoots was behind (because trigger simply depresses B button) so I'd have to hold the trigger halfway down in order to shoot as fast as I wanted
The UC RE blaster, Venom Hand Cannon, Cobalt Flux all look like they'd have the same problems as the Intec shell in terms of trigger issues while the Cobalt Flux looks to be the best design so far by at least trying to address the issue of point & shoot with the light bending tech
...I am waiting for Nyko to come out with a new gun attachment for their Wand as that will have direct transfer of trigger actions rather then a slide that depresses the B though I'm hoping they correct the problems inherent in the Perfect Shot having the mote fall out of it's cradle when shaken and aiming issues
It's too bad about the Hand Cannon not getting NA release as it looks currently to be the second best gun design on the market when placed next to the Cobalt (though I have yet to use the Cobalt)
