Now that you've already seen our Steel Book unboxing (and if not, click here to be amazed), Capcom has revealed what else you'll be getting with the North American Resident Evil 5 Limited Edition set. For $90, you'll find yourself the proud owner of a Chris Redfield figurine (no pump-action grip, unfortunately), a Tricell messenger bag (the latest trend, it seems), a BSAA patch, a bonus disc, a Kijuju necklace, and of course, the game itself. Let us know if you'll be shelling out the extra $30 for this collection when it releases on March 13, 2009.

This game must be at least 100 times better than Killzone 2 because it has a Collector's Edition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The solution is simple: Just go to /b/ and that image will be all goneā¦because it will be replaced by something far worse.

Well copa, be grateful that it's not Brian Ashcraft. I've seen that guy post much worse stuff than Mr. Justin.
I still can't get that horrid "real life Haruhi Suzumiya" picture out of my head. ;_;

Wow. It seems like it's been years since I've heard anything about Resident Evil 5. Is it coming to the 360 or will I have to buy the PS3 copy "for my sister"?

It's coming out on 360 and PS3, so you can do both.

That's hot, I would probably get it for the case alone, but those are some nice additions, definitely getting it now.

I don't ever buy them, but some of the stuff they've been putting in these Collector's Edition releases are admittedly pretty cool. I can't help but think that it might be a good idea for one of these games to come with a CE Shelving Unit, so you have a place to put all your CE junk, though.
Actually, it would have probably been a good addition to the Fallout CE, since half the game is searching through stuff sitting on shelves, hehe. I love the game, but it's true.

Haha. I never thought of it like that but you are SO right. I love it as well but so much of it is sifting through things on shelves in burned out buildings. Good observation!

If it gets here I might get it.The prices for videogames here are so insane I might as well buy the CE.

It was $60 a year ago. I remember because I bought two in the middle of December 2007. First WalMart online had the legendary edition for $60 and then a few days later Amazon had it for the same price.
I ended up getting one for me and one for a friend. The helmet is nice but not $120 nice.

I don't care for the messenger bag. Usually when they include items like that (or a safety deposit box) I don't end up getting the CE.
I like simple pleasures, like butter in my ass, lollipops in my mouth. That's just me. That's just something that I enjoy.

You can do all that stuff with a safety deposit box... just add a little butter and you're good to go.

Why is the necklace a melted Sega Genesis controller? What is its significance?

First, the question must be answered: Why did Sega make it's Genesis controllers out of melted Africas?

Because human evolution began in Africa, thus "Genesis" controllers are modeled in the shape of Africa.
...or something to that effect.

Damn it. I'm a sucker at collector's edition and this ones looks nice. Guess I'll have to buy it. Wonder if it will be available in Canada.

It will be available in Canada, but EB will charge 180$ because EB Canada has a new "fuck you" policy.

Look at all that stuff! I think that we can take this as confirmation that RE5 will suck. Focusing on this CE junk will keep them from making it a masterpiece.

Yes, because I'm sure each of the messenger bags are hand-crafted by the programmers who would otherwise be working on the game.

I guess my point is that everyone knows Capcom will hit a home run with RE5, and they have a corpulent CE as well. I just find it funny that another dev thinks that CE = a game-quality hindrance.

Tempting, but I think if I wanna show my RE love, I'll take the extra $30 and get an Umbrella umbrella from ThinkGeek instead.
