Sporting a Free Radical logo watermark, a video of supposed Star Wars Battlefront 3 alpha footage has made its way onto YouTube and - if legit - gives us nearly six minutes of gameplay to drool over.
The footage was supposedly shot during an "internal show and tell Alpha meeting" that took place in November and not only shows impressive visuals, but nifty gameplay elements including airborne combat that flows seamlessly from planet-level to space. It should be stated that the status of Battlefront 3 is still relatively unknown thanks to the predicament developer Free Radical is in.

Unfortunately they said that the tech that let you fly from ground to air to orbit has stayed with FR so it'll be done with cutscenes now.

The game is no longer in development by Free Radical (the video above was the Alpha version by Free Radical) and the project has been passed to another developer now.
We won't see it anytime this year basically.

BFII was one of my fav games on PS2 and i was really hoping to rip it up on 360. but really what story would they tell? going with the 501st in BFII basically told you everything you needed to know in the whole universe...

Ps3 and that gay ass game haze just had to ruin our chances to ever play BFIII and TS4. Ps3 is such a failure of a system, I would've bought a ps3 and haze just to keep free radical in buisness. Hopefully whoever takes over doesn't drastically change the games. Does anybody know is the devs that took over free radical are going to keep working on Time splitters 4?

Too bad we won't see this game anytime soon. Looks like it would have been a blast on the current gen consoles! I hope another studio can do this game justice.
