Speaking of recent Sonic tropes, is that ... another human(ish) love interest? That ... could be a problem. We must say that, at this point, the game parts of the game look pretty cool -- if you're going to give Sonic a sword, that's exactly the way to do it! If you'd like to see more, check the link for a few new screens! We remain skeptical -- there are certain warning signs about this game, like the presence of Sonic the Hedgehog.

It has been foretold that this sonic game will be the one where they finally get things right, I am curious.

yes they did say that for unleashed. But i think when they say that they'll finally get things right it means more that it will be better than the one before it. I mean There was rings, and unleashed was better than that with like a 6 outta 10, and i'd say this could be a solid 8 or 9.

something that makes me nod about a new sonic game...is that they look like a player is not required to actually play the game. disturbing heh?
the last decent thing i saw with sonic was sonic advance. i wish they would stop screwing this once good video game character.

3/12 in Japan. Do they have an American date yet?
Not that it matters, MadWorld does take precedent
Also: game looks awesome...

I just watched a trailer for a new 3d Sonic game. I actually thought that it looked fun, interesting, quirky and fast paced. The apocalypse must surely be upon us.

But it's not as bad as Seven Rings in Hand. Actually, I'm not even sure anymore.
I'm sure it's that Sonic band, that band Sonic Team have stuck with since Sonic Adventure for some odd reason. I really dislike them.

I am.....Impressed. lol
As long as it's day time unleashed levels ONLY, with a sword it should be pretty good.
Wish they'd bring back the classic music though.

Classic music? In YOUR Sonic game? It's more likely than you'd think.
Quoth Wikipedia:
Veteran composer Jun Senoue returns to compose music for this installment, mixing familiar Sonic themes with a Celtic style. In addition, his band, Crush 40, will be returning to perform the main theme of the game, "Knight of the Wind". Tommy Tallarico has the game listed on his website as one of the games he is working on. Finally, Richard Jacques is confirmed to be making the music for the cutscenes by the Official Nintendo Magazine.
So, yeah...Jun Senoue, Tommy Tallarico (the guy behind Video Games Live), and Richard Jacques (who has worked on the soundtracks of Jet Set Radio and SUPER FREAKIN' SMASH BROS. BRAWL) doing medieval remixes of classic Sonic tunes? I think we can deal with another Crush 40 main theme.
(As a sidenote, I actually AM somewhat excited for this game. An entire game of Unleashed's "day stages" = DO WANT, sword or no sword.

I hate bursting bubbles, but the Richard Jacques song in Brawl was that Super Sonic Racing one that plays in Green Hill Zone. It's really bad.

Oh. Sorry 'bout that. >_<
Dude seems like a pretty accomplished composer besides that, and Jun Senoue is working on the soundtrack too, so I'm good. ^_^

No love for Crush 40, eh? Shame. Johnny has an amazing voice.
The game does look good, and if half of Unleashed is any indication, it will be good.

Yeah, come on. Crush 40's amazing. I just hope that bit about Jun Senoue composing for this game is true.

I haven't played a sonic game since the advance era. This one looks kinda promising and I'm sure the developers are hearing the many complaints from their other games. This might be the one to get it right but as usual, I'll wait for the review. I kinda miss the old genesis music too.

The gameplay looks encouraging, but that music is terrible.

wow, at last, a Sonic game that looks promising, maybe is his revival? I can't wait.
And what I saw in the video is exactly what I wanted when I heard Sonic with a sword.

Wow, this looks... strange. I mean Sonic in some medival world... really? One should think these people learned that 3D sonic games suck (except for adventure maybe). Just doesn't work out in my opinion and it also doesn't help to add new elemts like a were-hog mode or a sword that seem totally out of place. I really think, they should finally put Sonic down now that he still has some of his dignity left.
Don't get me wrong, I'm willing to be convinced by this game but I have a hard time believing it will get the job done.

I'm friggin' psyched for this game.
I don't care about popular opinion.... I like the 3D Sonic games.
... 'cept for Sonic'06. all traces of that game were erased from human memory.
.... what Sonic'06 game? exactly.

I normally like cheese-metal, and I thought it was good in Sonic Adventure 1/2, but with Rings and Black Knight it's just gotten terrible.
