There's only one way to show appreciation for any given object of desire and that is through the loving building blocks of dreams known as LEGO. Yes, LEGO. Metal Gear Solid 4 fan Samuel Lafleur knows this one simple truth in life and has made a worthy tribute to his beloved game. He has made, out of LEGO, Solid Snake's preferred weapon of choice: the M1911 Operator pistol.
It's a rather gorgeous design; he's even got several modifications to it on his web page, so check out all the pics over there. Also, Sam, can we make a request for a full-sized Solid Snake bust which is opening up its mouth ready to shoot itself with that Operator? Only then will your tribute be complete. Well done.

Snake wouldn't be proud, when 60 billion PMC soldier dudes come at him, and all he can do is shoot Lego at them. Nahh I'm just kidding. That's pretty awesome.

I feel like someone may take the whole Snake shooting himself thing as a serious spoiler. Not everyone has played MGS4 yet who intends to.

It was known for several years; it was a scene that defined E3 trailer which led up to tons of hype. There's nothing new or shocking about it. It's also on the game's menu screen... I don't know why I have to explain myself sometimes...

Yeah, I have yet to play the game and if Snake shooting himself is something that happens in the end, I'm going to be seriously pissed.
However, if, like you said, it's not the ending and just something leading up to MGS4's story or is a small part of it, then I'm cool with that.

Did you see the other lego model guns that were on that site? It was a crazy amount.

1911 was Big Boss' weapon of choice

Yeah but in MGS4, the M1911 "OPERATOR" was SOLID's weapon of choice, nuance. ;)

Yeah well I wish I had enough tan colored lego pieces to make Snake's face, but I barely have 20 of those... But, in return, I could still make Snake's Command Vest out of lego. I'll keep you in touch on this.

This dude is 17 according to his profile. I foresee him spending a lot of money on collecting guns when he gets older ;)
Before recently purchasing my PS90 (civilian legal semi-auto version of P90) I made a model of it; though nowhere near the quality of this guy's work, it just made me want the "real" thing even more. Unfortunately it did not come with the frog trooper.

This guy's going to be successful, if he can pull off everything with this level of dedication.
