Worldwide PS3 releases for the week of January 18th

EA continues its January release schedule with Skate 2 which, no doubt, will be a bit better than Lord of the Rings: Conquest turned out to be. Hopefully. Asia continues to play catch-up, as ever, with Prince of Persia and WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009. Here's the full release list:

US Games

Skate 2

EU Games

Skate 2

Asian Games

PS3 games are region free. Not that it matters this week, but if you're feeling particularly barmy you could always import a version of Skate 2 from abroad. It'll still work. Though any downloadable content would need to be downloaded from the appropriate region's PSN Store, so it's probably best not to. Release dates are constantly subject to change, so confirm with your local retailer before you leave the house.

I really enjoyed the Skate 2 demo. I didn't play the first one but I think I still have some Gamestop credit left so I might consider picking this one up. Can't wait for Afro Samurai though! =D

the demo was tight. i was really surprised. however, i hate the "just got out of jail" story. that sh!t is whack.

Weak week, weak, weak. But Skate 2 is gonna rock. I previewed it and its really going to be awesome ...

Skate will not Release this Week here in Europe. Thats was delayed until 5. Februar 2009

That's quite the lineup.

I got really bored of the last Skate game, although there are only a few differences in Skate 2, the d emo is keeping me pretty entertained. Might pick it up if I see it pre-owned in a couple of weeks.
The "just out of jail" story sucks bigtime though. This is skate not GTA.....

Well, I only understood after a year of reading this website that the EU releases are not actually releases. Meaning that the PSN Store for Belgium for example is on another release schedule, so no skate2 demo for me :(
