Mini Ninjas has already been rated E10+ by the ESRB, and Io's general manager believes the game has "exceptional appeal" for both young and old alike. Check out the gallery below (and preview trailer after the break) to see if you think Mini Ninjas will bloom like a lotus blossom later this year.
Mini Ninjas revealed as Io Interactive's next game
27
Io Interactive has sneakily announced its next title: Mini Ninjas, which is coming to current-gen consoles, DS and PC this fall. The developer, whose last project was the site-imploding Kane & Lynch, appears to be going down a far more charming path with its latest title. Quite a departure from the gritty adventures of the aforementioned duo and Hitman's Agent 47, isn't it?

Can't blame them for trying a more casual title. Employees need food on the table when their previous effort didn't sell as expected and this looks like a fun game.

Would there be a problem with making another Freedom Fighters? Hell, even a next-gen port would be fine with me.

Ninjatown proved that mini ninjas can be so cute, but at the same time deadly bad asses...

Just like the criminally under appreciated I-Ninja before it.

I dug Namco's INinja (picked it up for the GameCube), but Hitman's one of my favorite franchises out there. I guess this is the way the wind is blowing.

Something is amiss here... How come the characters look asian? Since when do ninjas not have big round, blue, green, even red eyes? (sarcasm) ;)

Fighting pandas in disguise?! I'm game!
I just hope there will be cooperative gameplay through split-screen and an online mode. I say more split-screen cooperative games in general please.

To add on, i would really like a different company to take on Tenchu. The last one was buggy, as they all are to an extent. I just can't seem to resist blowing $60 to invade a village with multiple Ninjas (Tenchu Z) until the "sex" wheres off, and im over it.
I mean dammit, don't they see the possibilities? A smooth, well done Tenchu, with a better button config. and maybe less players to combat lag etc...Please excuse me for a second.

I am with the call for co-op. Both split-screen and online co-op for sure.
Anyway this looks to have potential. Maybe since they are going down a different route instead of that of Kane and Lynch, may allow for a better game.

It actually looks fun.. But I just hate whenever the characters have four fingers instead of five.. Why cant they just put one more finger on there..

No GPU in current generation game consoles could handle the extra two finger load. Best to leave fifth digit renders to IBM superclusters.

They should ask Ask a Ninja if they can change the name of the game to Minjas.

Dammit, make another Hitman game already :( The last game was the best yet. So much replayability, I still don't get tired of it. IO is the king of stealth assassinations :)

Do they know the plural form of ninja is ninja? Not unlike one sheep, two sheep, etc.
