New Gears 2 achievements appear on Xbox.com

Probably in preparation for the soon to be released Gears of War 2 title update, Xbox.com has posted an additional seven Gears 2 achievements. The new achievements - which aren't unlockable until the patch releases - add an extra 175 Gamerscore to Gears 2's total and all are targeted toward achievements made in multiplayer on the Flashback and Combustible DLC. Thanks for the achievements Epic, but would it be too much to ask to drop Seriously 2.0's killing requirements to, say ... 10,000? Please?

Skeletons in your Closet (20G) - Complete waves 1 through 10 on all Flashback Map Pack maps in Horde (any difficulty)
More Mystery, Less History (15G) - Win a multiplayer match on each of the 5 Flashback Map Pack maps (any mode except Wingman)
Bound by a Shared Past (15G) - Win a Wingman match on each of the 5 Flashback Map Pack maps
Trial by, and on, Fire (20G) - Survive first 10 Horde waves on Combustible Map Pack maps as a team
The Roof! The Roof! The Roof... (15G) - Win a multiplayer match on each of the 3 Combustible Map Pack maps (any mode except Wingman)
Forged in the Fire (15G) - Win a Wingman match on each of the 3 Combustible Map Pack maps
Annex: Now With Execution Rules (75G) - Win an Annex match on each Flashback and Combustible Map Pack map (public matches only)

AAAAAAAAAH Screw Wingman. I really hope the patch fixes multiplayer.

i love how playing a few games of annex totally outranks seriously 2.0...(Seriously 2.0 is worth 50 points whereas the new annex ach is worth 75)

Seriously 2.0 is worth it. Wait, suck it up and play Annex if you want to speed up the process. Annex rocks, anyway ;)

Speaking of lag, last night was such an assed out bust. My last 4 games of Wingman consisted of one guy kicking ass and getting 17 points and everyone else running around with our chainsaws up just HOPING to get a kill.

Stupid transcontinental lag >.

How you supposed to do the wingman one? just play wingman and hope you get a combustible map?

Any mode = Bot match FTW.

Although Seriously (No pun intended) these are just there to promote the map packs,I mean I already have flashback but to be honest my connection sucks and MP achievements can just go F*ck themselves.

If you have the Combustible map pack, you have the choice to pick those maps only on the menus and that's how you get that achievement on Wingman.

dont care about the achievements, i want the gameplay to not be broken and be fun like gears1 was

Eh what? Gears 1 was even more broken if you ask me.

The problem is that matchmaking makes you wait overrall 10 minutes but if memory serves I spent 5 to 15 minutes in Ranked in gears 1.

If you didn't have friends to play with it could take a few minutes to get a match going, but the shotgun worked, and you couldn't go invisible, or grenade tag people through walls......

I disagree. Gears 1 was excellent since day 1. I just hate the "insta-downs" with sniper, hoping they fix it cuz I'm back on Gears 1. Already got 1000 achievement points for Gears 2, waiting on new cheevos. (thanks for that tip Dustin)

wait the new achievements are suppose to be part of the "big tittle update" so now that they are on xbox.com that means the patch already passed MS certification :D

They release a "patch" that forces me to buy the new maps if I want all the achievements.

Not only that they release new maps for a busted game!? Gears online is so broken and messed up EPIC should just abandon it, like a lot of it's fans have.

Too bad I literally just traded in Gears 2 today. I'm sick of all the crap. Back to Halo for me.

Are there any details on the fixes this patch will address?

They listed most of the stuff people were bitching over (myself included) Sheild glitch, weapon slide, melee through walls etc.

Pretty much everything but the hoover saw and it not being lowered by being shot.

Gears 2 is not broken! Freakin' A...It's just fine. I get matches in seconds, and after the patch, all the stupid glitchers will be gone.

The glitchers are why the game is broken that and the game is just buggy as all hell. How do they let a bug where you can melee someone through a wall past the testers?

Everything has glitches that get past testers. Sure, Gears has some bigger ones, but no game is without them. Get over it, praise the patch, and play a great game.

I'll tell Epic exactly what I told Bungie: I won't buy extra map packs when they already should have been included on the disc. I also won't pay for extras so long as there are ranked online Achievements.

yes the flashback map pack should of been already store on the disc.

Same with Golden Lancer. you know there is some people that cant get LIVE.

this is terrible that means you have to buy the Combustible map pack why do they do things like this it is not right.

I for one will not be playing the game untill online multiplayer...oh and the ton of glitches are fixed... really fixed.

I don't understand what the problem is. You all complained about the game being broken and Epic addressed it. X3F even posted an article on the subject. You all making it seem like Epic is the only one to add achievements with the purchase of maps. Bungie did it and doing it now. Check your Halo 3 achievements and you'll clearly see some for a map pack that's not even released yet. Besides Epic and Bungie, I'm sure there are other companies that did and will do the same thing.

I agree that they need to fix matchmaking but as I already got seriously and all the other achievements, I am really looking forward to scoring some more easy gamer points on the new achievements. I really hope they fix the laggy shotgun and the bad choice of host that almost always has a bad connection. Once they do that, Gears 2 will be the top of the most played games on Xbox Live once more.

I really need help to beat the game on insane and get collectibles can someone help me out?
