As a recent buyer of World of Goo, I'd like to say: HELL YEAH!

"Not only that -- one-half of the two-man dev team, Kyle Gabler, has taken the time to remaster the tracks, "like they do to Snow White DVDs." 2D Boy's site has links to download mirrors of the 49-minute score; there's even a set of fan-created sheet music, in case you like to play great music as well as great games."

I now have a reason to live

I've played the PC demo, seems pretty awesome to me. I think it'll go great during lecture time!

As for the soundtrack, I'll listen!

i've been wondering...is it possible for sony to get them to do a ps3 version? sony has been supporting downloadable game devs and this would be no exception. they could just help them with porting it to the ps3. am i right?

You need a pointer.

The IR light in the Wii Remote acts as a pointer, and the PC version uses the mouse as the primary input.

It wouldn't work on the PS3 or 360 with the defualt controller.

They could have the game use keyboard and mouse, but at that point you might as well just get the PC version.

If you can play Red Alert 3 on a two-stick controller (Xbox 360), you can play World of Goo.

I bought it for Mac though.

All your money goes to 2D Boy if you buy it directly from them and it runs on just about any PC. If you want to support them, it's the best way to go.

Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait, looking at the track names and descriptions, do you eventually get to, like, an NES world in World of Goo?

Yes? It's like world 3 or something. It's not really 'NES' world but it's like primitive computer world; starts off in greenscreen.

Great game.

This is good news. It gave me the idea to perhaps use the World of Goo soundtrack for my listening assignment for band class.
Thanks joystiq!!

Here's a link to where you can find some mirrors so that you can actually get the music.

HELL YES.

I've been often wondering about buying this game after playing the awesome demo. Looks like that it's going to be my next purchase once I get on break.

There is some question as to why this game is so bloody awesome. Because it doesn't even make sense how great it is, and how great everything surrounding it is. I mean, of course not Joystiq Top 10 games of 2008 great (it's no... Farcry 2 was on there I think?), but you know.

How is it not better than Far Cry 2? This game did everything right, and amplified everything to the max. Although I don't doubt Far Cry 2 as a good game, its sad to see this not get respect as much cause its an indie or smaller game. This game is leaps in bounds in the right directions games should be evolving too. Gameplay progression, story, sound, everything!

Yes!!!!!

Kyle Gabler loves us! Lets love him back!

As my avatar shows, I absolutely love this game, and it would be my game of 2008 (Mario Galaxy I guess was 2007 even though I didn't get playing it much til 08).

The best things in life really are free.
