SCEE is prepping a "no duh" hardware bundle, combining Killzone 2 with an 80GB system. Considering the importance of Killzone's release, a bundle is an obvious offering to provide to consumers. ThreeSpeech has confirmed the release of this pack -- it will retail for £299.99. Stay tuned, as further details will be announced in the future.

No, he is saying he wished the PS3 had a Killzone design rather than the box (which face it gets stashed in the loft as soon as you unpack it).

Although you guys are right, it never ever translates directly as is. Most likely the US version will retail for $299. Which is exactly what I said would happen so I still expect to see that happen.

This may be a Killzone bundle, but there is currently an amazing deal at HMV for the exact same price where you can get 3 full priced games with it (or perhaps 2 full priced games and a DS3) or whatever. (i.e. the PS3 will only end up costing you £200 or so (if you sold the other stuff).

£299.99 = €324

Anyone remember when David Reeves said no price cuts in the spring?

David Reeves mendacity confirmed. SCEE should really not let this guy speak since everyone will know that what he denies eventually becomes reality. I guess this also confirms the psp-4000

Any Brits here want to check in and see if this is a price drop for the UK? I thought the PS3 was more than 300 pounds over there.

David Reeves' mendacity confirmed. Expect the psp-4000 sometime this year as well.

David Reeves is quite the liar. I guess with this announcement, the psp-4000 is all but confirmed.

The PS3 currently retails at £299 in Britain. Thats for the 80gb model, I think theres also a 160gb model goin for about £349, but I could be wrong on that, since I got my 80gb in October I stopped caring so much about the new SKU's, unless they release a new model with BC which I'm certain will not happen. At least not till costs come down a lot and the PS2 finally bites the dust.
