Got my money's worth the first time buddy. Had plenty of games and good times on Live. Don't want to pay the same price for the same gaming experience on a different shell.

Half the price? Yeah I'm sure it was only Arcades sold the whole month.

Patcher's been saying Sony will recover and top MS sales since early 2007.

I'm sure most of them were arcades. I did a lot of shopping at Best Buy over Christmas and I can't tell you how many people I saw with the arcade models under their arms.

As a Matter of Fact, I do own both. I bought a 360 first, and it was cool and all, but nothing in it really seemed "NEXT GEN" to me. Sure it has better graphics over original XBOX, but it's as next gen as me upgrading a Video Card on my Computer.

As far as exclusive games, I only bought it for Halo 3, I can care less about the rest, and most of the games that were exclusive on 360 are now coming to PS3. I stopped supporting Xbox since november since I haven't found anything on it I'd like to play.

With PS3, they're barely tapping it's potential, and it has so much to offer. The games look bad ass, and the Sound is top notch. I use it more than my computer, and I actually get alot of Next Gen out of PS3. Full 1080P games with crisp 5.1 sound, a solid online, and a great lineup of Games.

Sony knows next gen., and I don't feel ripped off like I did from Micro$oft.

Do you think that no one out there exist with more than just the PS3 or JUST the 360?

could possibly still win this generation? how do you define win exactly, number of consoles out there? well then the easiest way to win is to give them out for free, automatically, to all people. It's stupid, and its not the way they win. They win if they make enough money in the lifespan to make a better console next time around (a decade or so).

Sega lost, atari lost, the neo-geo lost system sales. but nintendo never did, xbox should have (if they didn't have such deep pockets), and sony hasn't yet.

Fact is Sony should of just had the lone 60Gig model out at $500 at launch the reduce the price from there.

It could of been a good $300-$350 right now and it woul be either number 1 or a close number 2.

RE: Ryking19 is a liar.

There arent that many PS3 games that have true 1080p graphics. So ur lying. If you said true 1080p for blu-rays you would of had me.

I say for everyone who has a PS3 or 360 list your PSN id or your 360 gamertag. ANd leave a note of who you are.

A lot of people are straight lying just to fit in

360 gamertag: diezel78
PSN: showeezee

coming up here to justfiy your purchase or fake purchase so you can sleep at night.

ANd if there are truly Sony fans out there support your system

Little Big PLanet: under sold
Uncharted: under sold
Metal GEar: did great
Socom: undersold

Fable 2: sold tons
Gears 2 sold tons
Halo 3 sold tons
Mass Effect sold great

stop bragging and support the PS3.

and of course a price cut would sell more units don't take a rocket scientist to see this.

not to mention heavenly sword sold barely any, resistance did pretty well, warhawk did good due to being in PS store, GT 5 didn't do that great, folklore was a terrific game and it didn't sell hardly any, valkyira chronicles was absolutely terrific and it didn't sell any, motorstorm did good, and ratchet and clank did just decent, you're right people do need to start supporting your system more, i have spent a lot of money on games though

I have a PS3 and have access to a 360, though it is not connected to the interweb (we do not have live) because we do not want a phoneline goin up the stairs. Therefore, I won't compare what system I like more in regards to online nor games because I mostly play the ps3 just because this is the system I purchased and it is located in my room while my brother, who purchased the 360 from a friend, has it in his room.

My PSN=Bloodsaber
My sibling's Gamertag=Action37 (never bothered to make my own tag since my brothers and I share the same psn/gamertags.)

As for support of the ps3, I tend to buy my games on that system rather than the 360 just because of above reasons. However, if there is a mutliplatform game that has more content on say, the Xbox360, I would buy it for that system.

Anyways, out of the games you mentioned, diezel, I only bought LBP and MGs4. However. I have passed on the other two since I never tried any of the Socom games and I wasn't too impressed by the Uncharted demo.

@doom saber

First off, I am in no way a true gamer. I only game about 3-4 hours a week max.

With that said, Uncharted (the only title I have actually purchased and not borrowed from friends) is a must-have title that you need to try. The game has top production values (the graphics, sound, gameplay show it). I have also heard great things about Socom from many people I know down the grapevine but it depends on who you are as a gamer and what you want....

I'm not lying, the PS3 looks sharper on my 1080P Samsung LCD than my 360. Of course that has nothing to do with it, but the games are great and the graphics are only getting more and more impressive on the PS3. The 360 looks like it hit a plateau already.

Gamertag:Diptheria19
PSN-ID: Diptheria19

Sorry, I actually prefer the PS3 and have gotten more BANG for my buck, and for the Record, SOCOM has got to be one of the best shooters. It may not be selling that much, but I give it time, and it will do well. Hopefully SONY has learned from it's mistakes and won't let an Awesome piece of tech go unappreciated again.

I do not even get what exclusives the 360 still has... Most getting ported to the PS3, and the rest will be on computer here soon enough.

PSN is just as good as Xbox LIVE, though no cross game voice chat/invites.

Blu-Ray kicks the crap out of DVD. Digital distribution still is far off, yet coming.

PS3 can support the new 3D stuff that is coming (got the kit for my PC! Worth the $600). Via a firmware update.

meh.. could list more, but its bed time.

I agree with you in general. Come on though, relax, xbox 360 fanboys aren't going to listen to reason, logic, or awesomeness, just one-liners that make them feel better.

by the way, MGS4 used the whole disk I'm pretty sure. Hence why it was so long and had so many extra features. they also poked fun at the previous disks in the game (oh, no disk swap? really? oh, we have blu ray, what an age we live in). Fun times. It'll get better too is the coolest part.

@Tyler: You make a good point that I reiterate. Since the PS3 has true exclusives and the 360's exclusives aren't very exclusive (ported to PC), the real winners in gaming are people that own a PS3 and a decent gaming PC.

In short, no reason to own a 360 if their exclusives land on PC. Not to mention you don't pay some goofy Live tax to play it online with your PC.

I cant Sony dropping the price by $100.
To be honest PS3 does need a price cut but Sony is alot of problems at the moment, if a price cut does happen it will be by $50.

I just hope Sony does not do it normal thing with the PS3 they just add a bigger HDD and increase the price

I do not get what the big thing about Xbox is... It is like a cheap piece of @#$! computer that will be out dated in a year when 3D takes hold (got that $598 kit for my computer, SwEEET!).
The reason Xbox is a cheap computer is Most Xbox games will be 'ported' over to computer, Mass Effect, Gears, Fable, Halo, etc.
So IF I wanted them, I would get them for my computer.

This is why I like Sony so much. Most of Exclusive games on PS3 are not, and will not be, on computer. And it is already capable of 3D!

I think the Xbox vs ps3 fans fighting is silly. I have both systems and there are things I like about both. I just got the Xbox 360 arcade system - $200 for the console and $200 for a second controller, 60gb hdd and xbla points, and one cheap used game. So it's not any cheaper than a ps3 really. I like the streaming netflix on xbox and also how I can go right to my tv channels through windows media center. But! I also love many of the features of ps3! First! I love not paying for online play, the psn store rocks, blue-ray player!!!!, and built in wifi!

So, I can like both and not be a hater. :) But I also had enough money to buy both consoles. I guess if you don't you might just get the xbox (or just the ps3) and say "ps3 is an overpriced piece of crap" or "Xbox is a cheap piece of crap", but I think both are fun systems with fun games and each have their own nice features.

Can I has a cookie?

I switched from 360 to PS3 because of Microsoft's customer service. It's outsourced to Mexico, and the actual CS agents are rude, reading from a script, and unwilling to work with customers to resolve a problem. They mess with credit card information without permission, and then when you try to fix the situation, they insult you as you climb through the customer service ladder.

My experience with their customer service was so bad that I sold my 360 in response, and bought a PS3.

If they keep that sort of service up, they'll push a lot more people over to the PS3. Sony only has to treat customers a little better than Microsoft to win some loyalty... And that's not hard to do, considering how downright clueless and awful MS customer service reps are.

You want to see the result of a company who's business plan was done on the fly and made up as they went.

Go look at this EB page. http://www.ebgames.com/Browse/Search.aspx?N=141+196

It shows the prices of New and Refurbished PS3's.

The original lowest priced machine "20gb $379" is $20 less than a brand new PS3 80 gb $399.

Wait it gets worst.

A 60gb refurbished $429 is worth more than a brand new 80gb PS3 $399.

So if I want to get the PS3 with backward compatibility
I now have to buy a refurbished machine to get the feature and pay darn near the same price or more for a brand new PS3.

Business plan to shreds.

It's an option. Not everyone wants or needs backwards compatibility and it was costing Sony too much to include it. Don't forget that at launch, even at the $600 price point Sony was losing a ton of money on each unit sold.

See, here's the thing. Sony builds consoles for the future. They cost alot today but you're not looking to replace them 4 years down the line because the software catches up. God of War 2 was made 7 years after the PS2 launched and still looks great to this day (turn on progressive mode).

With all of the firmware updates the PS3 has gotten since launch things have only gotten better. Once cross-game chat and some other features are added, Live won't have a single benefit by comparison.

That's because the backwards compatibility is WORTH IT.

I'm hoping that Sony eventually wakes up from their stupor and starts actually trying to get PS2 owners on board with the PS3 again. Backwards compatibility helps lock people into the Sony platform when they upgrade. Without it, why not buy a 360?

(Apart from the Ford Pinto quality of the 360)

Geeze all i got to say is that all of you who think one system is better than another, or one will beat another in sales are freakin GAY!!! i mean you worship these console companies like they give a damn about you. the 360 clearly is a better system for the money and for gaming, but the ps3 has more useable features such as blue ray. face it if you have a hi-def monitor that does 1080 and own a 360 u will want a blu-ray player anyways so why not shell out another 100 bucks and get a combo player/gaming machine and play a couple exclusives for the ps3. cuz its a fact and has been declared on cross console genres the games run better on the 360 if you dont believe me then go study it. IMO i hope they drop the price of the ps3 that way i can own one once again for half the price i paid before and have both systems. you can argue all day long on which console is better but in reality theyre all the same but if you really want a machine get a gaming pc and to whoever thinks you have to shell out 1300 and up i built one for 800 off newegg and all i have to do is upgrade my graphics cards every year or two to keep up with newer games.
