Okay, okay. We know that Street Fighter has always had a plot. We don't want any angry otaku in here. But seriously, for a game about efficiently beating the snot out of people, the plot of Street Fighter IV is heavy. The latest trailer for the game highlights the story and gives a little background as to why everyone keeps on fighting in the street. Whether or not you spend any time reflecting on it whilst pounding your opponent, well, that's up to you.
We've embedded the trailer after the break. Here's a fun exercise. Close your eyes, listen to the trailer and imagine a Street Fighter movie that's actually good. At the rate things are going, it's the closest you're going to get.
i played the arcade version and all i can say is, even though it's in 3d it plays exactly how you would expect street fighter to, if not better, it's just as fast, and just as great, it still has it's old school charm, if i reviewed it i would give (the arcade version) an 8.5/10
X3F: "Close your eyes, listen to the trailer and imagine a Street Fighter movie that's actually good."
Joystiq: . "...beautiful though it may be, we had to mute it halfway through. The video, which highlights each of the game's characters, has some pretty cornball material -- we're talking laughing at, not laughing with."
So do I close my eyes and listen? Or mute and only watch? Which sense do I use? Ahhh..choices, choices.
i am definitely grabbing this when it comes out (which is the day after my b-day yay) it looks great plus me and my friends have been fans for a long time if not since the first street fighter game came out
the game became a must hace just for adding more characters and preserving the classic style fighting... this will make the game more enjoyable for begginers.
I am going to get this just for the old time sake. I mean...i remember when i and my brothers collected our lunch money for school and amassed enough to buy a SEGA Mega drive to get this game instead of going to the arcades in the mall. It took a LONG time but we finally got it and played the heck out of it.
