The game may be Euro-exclusive, however, we'll have to wait seventeen months of delays and release pushbacks before it finally appears on the store.

SCEE is run by a bunch of incompetent [expletive deleted], [expletive deleted] [censored]. I wouldn't expect any of the upper management to be able to find their own arses without using both hands and a flashlight, much less be able to facilitate the release of games in a timely manner.

I have no interest in this game, but it seems stupid not to release it.

Scene of event :

"In a drak parking lot"

Secret Microsoft agent : Pssst over here...

SEGA dude : huh ? whats up ?

Secret Microsoft agent : Here! Take this bag of money, and make Outrun an exclusive!!

SEGA dude : hmm can we make it US exclusive ?

Secret Microsoft agent : ehh .. ok sure!

SEGA dude thinking " LOL! what a morron, we get a lot of money, and PS3 owners log on their EU accounts and DL the game anyway.."

well, what else you could aspect out of their head. the success of microsoft xbox 360 is pretty much buying as many exclusives as they can.
without 3rd party game developers at all, 360 VS PS3 what would it be? Halo & Fable (I'm sure there're a few more IP) VS God of War, Unchanted, KillZone, Little Big Planet, Heavenly Sword, Gran Turismo, Motor Storm, White Knight, Folk Lore (and many more I'm sure).
I might sort of admit that the 360 kinda won the this gen war, but I never give them credit on the matter. If Sony lost to somebody it was Sony against Epic game, EA, Namco Bandai, Square-Enix, Rockstar and all those who got $$$ from Microsoft. It's a fighting of a super rich kid VS a not as rich kid in a business game.
so anyway, I don't really blame microsoft for blindly buying Outrun to be xbox exclusive, it's all that company is capable of. it's the only thing that so call "game" company can do. not making good games, just buy good games.

I do believe It's an Xbox live exclusive in America. So in other words, I have no clue but it does explain why it;s PSN EU only.

Yeah PlayTV is kind of useful, I can play games while my girlfriends trashy shows are on and she can watch them while I'm not about, or while i'm hunting monseters on my PSP.

But, the signal is piss poor, our £20 digibox had a far more stable signal, the Play TV will lose channels for a couple oif weeks, then they'll come back, then they'll go again (annoying when something is set to record).

Also the recordings take a serious amount of HDD space, like over 1GB per hour. A seriously fast way to fill up your PS3.

It's OK, but it's not even comparable with the Video store.

Plus I was under the impression there wasn't a free Digital TV service in the US? More of you guys have proper paid for TV services, so they don't use the broadcast type that PlayTV uses, so you can have PlayTV but you won't get any channels!

there are a good few channels here in the UK, if anyone actually uses a freeveiw box and has a PS3 it's a really good idea to get PlayTV and combine the two.

Plus it's nice to flick between games, music, pictures, blue-ray, internet, folding@home, home and TV all on the one console.

I liked how 360fanboy posted this in a way to gloat.
What?
I mean... Outrun exclusive to XBLA in US is a big deal to them? I mean... I've never played it... but they made it sound like Geometry Wars is the only thing they have :P

OutRun exclusive to European PlayStation Store? Like I care or any European would care --' No exclusive game will ever make up for the lack of MovieStore.

As for Geometry Wars, it's awesome. I'm currently addicted to the PC version: Grid Wars. Never a recent 5MB game got me as hooked as GW.

@sourcejr

Play TV is over rated. Its main problem is its only freeview. Freeview is basically the dregs of tv for ppl that dont wanna sub to a tv service, meaning its prety much shopping channels and other crap that u dont care about. The HDD recording thing is cool, but again... no channels worth squat. No comparison to the movie store.

@Nathanical:
While I understand that you are eager to get Movie store also in Europe, I think you misrepresent Freeview heavily with your claim that it is only shopping channels and its ilk. I used to use Virgin Media and have their XL package, and after switching to PlayTV and Freeview the only channel I missed was CNN (which funnily enough started broadcasting on freeview just a short while ago (not 24/7 unfortunatly).

But most major channels in the UK are on there, with SkyOne being the only worthwhile exception.

Anyone w/ only a US billing address ever successfully bought anything from the Euro store? There aren't any PSN cards for Europe, so credit card would be the only way to go.

Legend speaks of magic cards that one with a pure heart and $20 can buy from select stores across the US, granting them special power to purchase merchandise from the stores of their choice...

But it's only a myth. I don't believe it unless the Mythbusters at least say its plausable.

Legend also speaks of an online auctioning service, where one might obtain said cards for any given region.

There's also some myth about a guy putting on a wizard hat and robe, but I forget.

Being an un-official world record holder(in Lisbon) of about 52M points (can't rememeber the exact figures) back in the 80's, i will definitly give this one a try, just for old times sake :D

Huh?, This is the PSN game I'm looking forward to the most, even more so than flower and SF2HD. I'm surprised more people did not care.

No EU billing addres = NO purchase for us American PS3 owners = No EU PSN Card to buy online

Its a shame, but a way might we find to get our hand on this one

My only chance is to convince a European that I deposit part of the cost of the game to a paypal account and then I connect to PSN with his user and download again the game
