Judging by an alleged scan of Spanish magazine "Nintendo Accion," a sequel to Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games could be in the works at Sega. GoNintendo has a scan of the image, which teases a reveal in the next issue and clearly shows Mario and Sonic. SegaNerds roughly translates the text as: "Games, Olympics, Cold, It's winter." How ... elegant.
Oh, and who would be to blame for another button-mashing, waggle-infused minigame fest on the Wii? That would be the five million (and counting) people who bought the first title. Let's see if those folks will come back for a second, colder dose.

As someone who is in Vancouver (Home to 2010), I think the real events is "How many taser can you fire at immigrants", "how many pepper spray can you do it to the students",or "Out run the protestors who are throwing rocks and molotov cocktail". And they ll take place in our Downtown Eastside.

Its becoming more and more obvious that SEGA regrets picking Sammy over Nintendo or Namco

Sammy pretty much destroy everything that SEGA was.
I'm surprise they are still making so many games.

Sonic+Snow= Awesome music.
Anyway Mario and Sonic was one of the best minigames compilations, if they make the game with a bigger budget I think it may be very enjoyable.

Oh shit yes. Favorite theme from the series, even more than Chemical Plant or Casino Night zone... Ice Paradise, from Advance 2.

Oh god.
Wonderful, knowing that this is the kind of game that does well on the Wii.
Aaaaaugh. I don't know who to be angry at... maybe at myself for buying the thing and expecting more than I got.
Yeah, yeah, 2009'll be a great year. I've seen the list, and for the most part, I agree. I just find it kind of lame that, well... how many of these 'core' games that keep getting listed over here, how many of 'em are gonna be successes? Surely not the save kind of five million that this is sure to sell. Meaning, we'll continue to see more of this than anything until the generation is over. And that's not something I'm looking forward to.

Fuck no, I still have fun with my Wii.
Don't call it whining, bro, every time someone acts a little dissapointed with the Wii. I was it's biggest defender around here (behind Kahn and Fernando) for the longest while, but eventually the lack of games, especially during the later half of last year, just got to me. As Chris Rock said regarding hip-hop (though it fits so well here), "It's getting harder and harder to defend some of this shit." And it is. I don't sell consoles, but I do express disappointment if a console disappoints me.

I am buying a 360, bro. I'm gonna have all three systems by the end of February, in fact. Still doesn't mean I can't be disappointed in the Wii - It's so different, it had so much potential.

Dead Rising. It's an old game, I know, but fucking addictive. That's the game that kept me debating whether or not to buy the 360 first, actually. Went with the Ps3 in the end but my plan was to have both in the end so that doesn't matter.

That is some beautifully rendered snow. I didn't know that videagames could have such a realistic portrayal of what is obviously snow.
And people complain about the Wii's graphics. Pshaw! They haven't seen this officially officially concept art. Concept art with SNOW!

I wonder what the fuck does SEGA do to manage to get Mario for another game? did they sent Whores to Miyamoto?

I'd totally be down for a Mario/Sonic platformer.
I don't think they realize just how many people would be down for that.
Then again, it'd take a lot more work to make a good platformer (especially for Sega) than it would to make another minigame compilation, especially since they'd sell around the same amount (who am I kidding, the minigames would sell more. Brawl didn't even sell as much as this game did...)

The platformer won't work.
if the game is make by SEGA, then it would turn like Sonic Unleashed with the werehog replaced by mario.
if the game is made by Nintendo they give Sonic a banjo or something stupid like that.
Nintendo isn't on top of there game anymore either.

I certainly enjoyed Galaxy more than I did Unleashed...
Both were returns to form with great music and art directions.
One didn't have awful level design and a debatable but ultimately unwanted gameplay element, though.

Nintendo could make a good Mario/Sonic platformer. It's hard to trust Sega with Sonic now a days.

I doubt Nintendo can make a good 3D Sonic game when SEGA has being struggling with it for years.

At the very least, Nintendo has shown that they can turn bullshit ideas like a water backpack into worthwhile gameplay elements.
That's still something Sega has trouble with.

Maybe we are looking at the wrong studios. Screw Nintendo EAD and Sonic Team, bring in Amusement Vision. F-Zero GX is the closest thing I've played to a good 3D Sonic Game (it's also the best racing game, ever, and still gives a greatest sense of speed this side of Burnout 3)

FZero GX it's a collaboration of Nintendo, SEGA and another company.
it worked great.

That "Other Company" would be Amusement Vision, which is now wholly integrated into SEGA. And unlike Sonic Team, who hasn't made a good game since absorption, AV continues to churn out hit after hit. (SEE: Ryu no Gotoku)
