The amazing fan-made Portal gun

This replica Portal gun was created for Flickr user -- and soon-to-be Portal cosplayer -- emilyskeith by her boyfriend, and is clearly a triumph of prop making. In fact, we consider it a huge success.

We're sure it was hard for Emily to overstate her satisfaction with the finished replica, which features working orange and blue LEDs and was weathered to convey the idea that she wasn't the first Aperture Science subject to use it. To her boyfriend: you've ensured that her love for you will be still alive for years to come. Also, we want one.

Pretty cool to see video game stuff made BY the boyfriend FOR the girlfriend, since it's usually the other way around. :)

I was always way jealous of the Zelda cakes made by the girlfriend. But I think this is cooler.

I made my girlfriend a Lara Croft hooker outfit and she didn't seem too pleased. I must be doing it wrong.

I once made a Freddy Kruger glove for an ex of mine (Hey, she was a big fan. She forced me to sit down and watch all of the Friday the 13th movies. Even the 6th one). It even had real knives! She gave it back after we broke up because she felt that it was more special than any engagement ring I could have given her.
