lol no offence but that's pretty stupid. If you can afford a PS3 surely you can afford at least ONE game. I recommend uncharted (it's amazing) but there are loads of great games like LittleBigPlanet, Motorstorm, Resistance 2, MGS 4 etc.

LittleBigPlanet is a MUST purchase! In my opinion it is the best game out right now on any console. There are endless possibilities to what you can create, share and play. Hands down the best money I've ever spent on a game. Please buy this game before Killzone2. Don't get me wrong buy Killzone2 as well but figure out a way to buy LittleBigPlanet, sell your body, sell a kidney, sell something...just buy LBP!

Definitely pick up Uncharted and MGS4 on the cheap, both are great games. The others were pretty meh to me.

If you didn't already have a 360 prior to picking up a PS3, there are tons of good multi-plat games as well.

I don't find it silly. I bought a a PS3 when the MGS4 bundle was out. And until christmas it was the only game i had owned (PSN games dont count for me). KZ2 will be the first full price game ive bought.

Any who, the original Killzone intro was 10x better. But not 10x as pretty. =P

I actually disagree with that... While Uncharted has a good story and great graphics, the controls feel really clunky sometimes, it's only 7-8 hours long, has no replay value and no multi-player. I suggest renting it or find it for a really good price.

On the other hand, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Little Big Planet ARE must haves if you own a PS3.

SAME! I've seen enough, I know it's going to be good. The only things I'll check out between now and then are hands-ons, developer interviews, and review summaries. Don't want to ruin anything else!

It's CG, but it's pretty great regardless. I would have liked to see them attempt something like this with the in-game engine, though.

Actually I prefer that it's CG (not that I've watched it, and I don't intend to until I get the game). There are far too many games that rely on their ingame engine to make the cutscenes etc. I loved all the CG in older games, especially those by blizzard - those were always really well done *wishes StarCraft 2 would be here sooner*. They just made the whole experience feel more cinematic and involving (as it feels more real) rather than just a part of the game that you don't control. If it's just a short mid-level cutscene fair enough as it helps to maintain the flow, but for intros and "end of chapter" type events I think CGI is generally better

It's not. There was a version of the video shown on some other sites (I saw it on Kotaku, but it has since been removed) that showed it transition from the intro to actual in-game footage, and it was a noticeable difference. The difference wasn't drastic, but it was enough to see that the opening was, in fact, CG.

I'm nearly 100% positive that most of that was made using the in game engine. Just like MGS 4 did all their cut scenes.

Two races of humans on different planets attacking each other...

wondering the same thing thanks.
I watched it, its not much knew and as i expected not much story. Its over a month away, go ahead and watch it, you'll forgot.

I didn't think this was going to be an 'uncharted' but i hoped there would be more character development/story then most 'silent protagonist' FPS.

Im still hyped for awesome graphics and gameplay though.

The reason I have not bought any games for my PS3 is because I have the X360. The games are typically WAY better, so I buy those instead. I can afford to buy a PS3 game, just thought I'd wait until something cool comes out. FYI, I rented Resistence 2....good game....just didn't bother to buy it. Maybe I'll see if I can grab Unchartered....it does look like a cool game.

I'm still confused on what motivated you to say that. Why post comments if you've got nothing of value to say about the subject.

I can't wait for this game personally. It looks amazing although lacking in plot development. I hope the mechanics have greatly improved over the first attempt.

Well, that was all pretty run-of-the-mill, even if it was bigger budget than most games.

This game's already getting good reviews but, damn, is it too much to ask for a good shooter with a remotely interesting plot?

lucky for you some reviewers praised KZ2's plot so even if it does not live up to most story expectations it would still have a semi interesting plot.

I knew this game was pretty, but I didnt realise just how pretty it actually is!

You can see the pores in their face,
the stubble on their chin,
the blood vessels in their eyes.

easily as good-a graphics as any CG movie I've ever seen!
