I'll likely pick it up for 20 beans. I understand the criticism of it being spendy, but 10 to 20 hours of extra gameplay sounds worth it to me. I've been enjoying the hell out of Knothole Island, so picking up some DLC for GTAIV will probably breath some fresh life into it for me and I'll have fun with it.

Twenty bucks puts it into another category entirely. Had it been ten bucks, I'd probably have just mindlessly bought it in hopes that it was worth it. Twenty bucks though, and my expectations go way up, and it had better be able to meet them if they want my money (especially since I haven't touched GTA IV in months).

I never finished the game actually, since I got bored with the same car chase type missions over and over. Actually, the MP was more fun in the end. I don't think I'm gonna grab this until the price comes down-if it ever does.

Dead Space is awesome.

Got 100% complete. Now that I'm tempted to spoil the game for you the same way the internet spoiled it for me but I guess someone has to be a man here and end the circle of f*gg*try so I won't reveal anything.

the Comics are worth reading. The movie well not bad not good either.

Yeah, I got it for xmas but only started a few days ago. The PC port is excellent with medium settings running perfectly. The infamous mouse control isn't actually as bad as the internet would have you believe either.

Plus the game itself is sweet. Really well paced.

Whoa, 20 bucks! That's a bit steep... I mean gta was okay, I never even beat it because I traded it in, but I say this expansion should be no more than $10.

10+ hours, new multiplayer modes, new music, new weapons.

It's steap but fair for what you're getting considering the 60 dollar GTA IV was about 30 hours if you played directly through the campaign well.

But the game to begin with was just kill this guy, steal this car, drive this here, etc. Now if they changed up the diversity of missions a bit, maybe it would be worth it. Honestly the whole formula has grown a bit stale! I can't even buy the dlc since I have a ps3, but GTA4 along with viking: bfa were the worst purchases of 2008 that I made.

But what's the solution Doreo? Every game is like that, if you think about it. In Fallout 3 you go somewhere to get something and/or make a decision whether or not to kill someone. Unless you find a way to make peaceful compromise fun, videogames are just going to keep making us chase stuff/kill stuff.

Maybe I'm just hating on gta for no apparent reason, but I just hate the fact that it's just a crime sim... I just grow tired of having to commit crimes like stealing and killing as what drives the story. I liked Fallout because it gave me choices, like I got to choose if I wanted to kill a certain character or let him go. I just feel that gta series hasn't really evolved, it's just more of the same except with a better engine.

Like honestly I've spent more hours playing LittleBigPlanet then I ever spent playing gta4.

I understand being frugal, if it was just an "arcade" game. I just started playing GTAIV again since i haven't beaten it. Reason for not completing it is that i play MMO's as well, nuff said. :P

I don't think you have to love GTA4. I just don't think that "choice" is there yet in video games and GTA4 does what it can. Even in games like Bioshock and Fallout 3 your choice is limited to Evil or Good (sometimes Neutral is also a choice). I don't think you're wrong, I just think that every game derives that kill/chase formula a little bit.
And there's nothing wrong with spending lots of time playing LittleBigPlanet. ; )

Also Doreo no offense, this is more directed at the ones who "really" dislike GTA( which is fine...),but, all GTAs involve what you have mentioned gameplay-wise.

Since GTAIII(etc.) was made without the Diablo view, I cannot remember one that strayed from "said" formula.

" like I got to choose if I wanted to kill a certain character or let him go. "

Except you make those choices in GTAIV as well. Several times duriing the course of the game you have to choose who lives and who dies depending on the actions you decide to take.

I agree, in part, with Doreo. There are only so many kinds of objective you can have in a game, but GTA doesn't do a very good job at justifying or disguising them. Going after an item in Fallout 3, for example, usually has a purpose for you or the NPC that sent you, whereas GTA's are generic and don't impact anything after the quest is complete, and there's usually only one way to complete it.

I started a second trip through Fallout 3 only to see what I could do with really high luck, charisma, intelligence and speech. I haven't just had different options, I've found whole quests that I didn't have or missed before.

like 6 hours of mirrors edge for $ 60..

funny thing is some of the people complaining about the price of this DLC loved mirrors edge and didnt mind the price....

mass effect dlc was 2 hours for $ 5.
fable 2 is about 4 hours for $ 10.

so why all the gta hate??
