Age of Booty receiving PS3 Trophies, Avatar support on Xbox 360

Although Age of Booty has received unexceptional reviews, the pirate-themed RTS boardgame certainly deserves the respect of a demo try for those who haven't done so.

so the 360 version gets a new update allowing for avatars during play while the ps3 version gets trophies, which had been on the 360 version since the game released??

Sony's playing catch-up? Go ahead and blame Certain Affinity / Capcom for not including trophies in a game that launched well after Trophy implementation and a few months after the Xbox 360 version.
Anyways, it isn't like you will be able to interact with your Avatar, the game has no placeholder for it. More than likely it will just replace your gamerpicture and respond with various emotions, if that.

sony ps3 software was NOT up to date for the developers to implement trophy support into games AND THAT was sony's fault and no one else.
lol i love how capcom gets blamed for sony not having trophy support available for developers to use when they were actually making the games. like they should have to pay extra money to put trophies into a completed game that they have already paid their staff to make.
that is why many ps3 games will never have them.

Surprisingly good and fun (and challenging on some of the later levels). My only real complaints are that I wanted more levels and the ability to do the campaign with coop. There are maps to make your own battles and do coop with, but I enjoyed the campaign more than the skirmishes.

I've got the trial. I must say its pretty fun. The online multiplayer works pretty well. Its a strategic team game from what I've played and it works fairly well on a console (compared to say, command and conquer etc) since its not extremely fast paced, but in saying that, a good team can quickly win a map.
I had fun though. Thought about buying it but was worried about replayability.

ps3 didn't get shafted. we got an extra feature (which is now mandatory...) which is good in my books. and you're actually right (shock!) about the joystiq avatars. i have a great sly cooper avatar just waiting to see the light of day on joystiq.

Hopefully this patch will make the European PS3 trial version work again - since the last patch it is impossible to play. The devs are advertising for a test manager at the moment, obviously they are aware that their QA sucks balls presently.
