Funcom is still developing a Xbox 360 port of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, the publisher reiterated in an interview with Eurogamer. The affirmation comes after PC player subscriptions for the MMO dropped and half the servers were shut down.
Game Director Craig Morrison wouldn't go into specifics beyond the fact that the company still plans on having a version on Microsoft's console. Morrison describes the team working on the console version as small and dedicated. Heck, it's worth a try. Then again, who will test it? Didn't QA get laid off?

I have seen my cat in that spot a few times and damn it, he finds a way to get the water...then promptly knocks the glass on some electronic item.
Anyway, I was looking forward to trying this game on console, but am not expecting it to actually ever arrive now.

That could be to teach you a lesson about leaving half full glasses of water sitting around, but cats are spiteful bastards so it's probably just to see you cry.

I don't know what it is, my cat also loves to drink from the glass like that. But I make sure it's filled high enough for him to get to it because I don't like seeing him struggle. :(
Most cats are smart, they'll dip their paws in the water then suck on them.

Does that mean somewhere in the bowels of Level 5, there is still hope of seeing TFLO released for Xbox? I'm believing it because I can.

I can't see this game doing good...
You have the casual gamers who aren't gonna pay $15 a month. (i don't really know how much it is)
You have the people who keep up with MMOs that know AoC got off to a very bad start.
Really, all you have left is people who just want achievements or people who like the game, which is obviously small since half of the servers shut down.
I think if they can fix all the bugs and make the game worthwhile, I'd probably play it. I'd love to see a console on MMO... kind of.

You know FFXI has been on the PS2 since 2004 and the 360 since 2006, yes?
I know it's an old game, but if you're looking to play an MMO from your couch, it's a good start.

I could see Conan doing well on the xbox.
If they spruced up the combat system and a gold membership wasn't required to play (didn't the Final Fantasy MMO do that?) they might have a nice, captive audience locked down.

F**k Conan. I WANT to see Funcom finish Dreamfall/Longest Journey game. The third one is sorely needed.

Good call on the chat pad - I hadn't thought of that. Which is probably why I don't develop games for a living... : )

From what I heard, the 360 version of Age of Conan had zero progress on it when the PC version released. Some people at the studio didn't even know a 360 version existed. I don't expect AoC to come out on the 360 for a long time.

I could see this being popular on the 360.. but i'm not sure it'll ever make it out.
TBH, they probably should have put it on the 360 first.. they wouldn't have had so much competition, and a violent game with good graphics and half naked women seems a perfect fit for the 360 audience.
Not sure if subscriptions would be the way to go.. maybe xbla microtransactions would be better... people with 360s seem happy to pay for lots of DLC.

yes i agree, i think they should have brought it out for the 360 earlier. but still it's really worth a try, it can be succesful, just don't wait too long to release it, because somewhen people won't care anymore. then you never know what it could 've been like if you had released it in the right time. just ignore the few small problems and fix the big ones. don't waste too much time on the interface altough it's very important (you're already working over 1 year on it, it seems your team working on the xbox version is too small).

The saddest thing is about this how desperate you are to write something eye catching and negative about AoC. You're like a child with his fingers in his ears *LA LA LA CAN'T HEAR YOU* past all the positives and then pluck out a very minor point so you can post your favorite lolcat pic from the Internets. Do you still do Michael Jackson jokes at parties too?
