I only spent $15 on electroplankton. Someone traded it in to a pawn shop and the store had no idea what its actual value is.

I really want that honeyee ds, but I'm hesitant to put out the $400 for it. Aside from that, $250 on the limited edition Chinese Dragon DS. That's the most I've spent on a single DS.

(Why, oh, why are there only, like, seven each of the greatest special edition DSes?)

I dropped $500 on a Hot Summer DS. At the time people mocked the purchase on various sites, but I always thought (still do) that if I needed the money back I could sell it for that much. I also paid slightly above retail for a Mariners DS lite.

Got my DS signed by the 8-bit people in 2005.

Not worth anything, probably, but still cool, and worth a lot to me.

I have a Deep Red PSP and a Cinnabar Red PS2.

I have resisted the urge to import a Red DS from Europe so far (it helps that I don't know of any Euro -> US import shops, and already own a DS) but my resolve is crumbling under the weight of my red-lust.

I'm actually incredibly lucky at finding things for really cheap. I have bought games for 4$ that typically cost 60$. I have magic bargain hunting skills. If I ever paid full price for something, I fear my powers would be taken away by the gods of cheap fun.

Back in the day, I paid about $80 for Conker's Bad Fur Day and considered it well worth it. Although these days, I'm rarely willing to pay as much as $20 for a single game, especially if I've never actually played it before.

Against my better judgment, I paid above retail for a used copy of Lost in Blue about two years ago. It used to be hyped as a super-low-print rarity just under Electroplankton and the Monopoly/Boggle/Yahtzee/Battleship 4-pack, but to me, it just looked really fun.

Dollar for dollar it was the worst gaming purchase I've ever made, as it turned out to be infuriatingly frustrating. As a final insult, the over-printed sequels pushed down the price of the original to the point that it's no longer even considered rare or valuable. VGPC puts the average cost of a used copy at under $22.

I hated that game so bad. I accidently threw away my Wood, so I had to go for Days and Days without ever sleeping, and the only place that had any Wood was FAR away.

Needless to say, at 100% Hunger/Thirst, it was impossible to make it there, and then make it back. Basically, I had to reset the entire game if I wanted to get any farther.

As far as the sequels go, I was tempted, but decided not to based on the fact that it started Realistic with great Artists, especially the main characters, to an Unrealistic Chibi-styled junkgame

Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a Gold Bape DS,
I recently spent $20 on a Gold Bape Replacement Housing, and it should arrive soon. Wish me luck!

I'm pissed, I traded Electroplankton in at Gamestop two years ago for reasons I can't recall. I miss that game. :(
