New Ghostbusters screens feature slime, virtual hair-don't
You're probably expecting this post to contain some Ghostbusters-related humor; perhaps a "Who ya gonna call," or a reference to not "crossing the streams." Well, it doesn't. Okay, so it does -- but that wasn't our intent. No, that would be showing you this latest batch of screenshots from PS3/360/PC version of the game, featuring the hair of a virtual Harold Ramis. Due on June 16, the game's looking good, playing well, and, so, Atari ... "we're ready to believe you." Damn.

Christopher Grant @ Jan 22nd 2009 7:47PM

Actually, hey: you're sort of right.
WRE @ Jan 22nd 2009 8:04PM
So, wait. Is Chris Grant the white Steve Urkel?
Dog the Body Hunter @ Jan 22nd 2009 6:47PM

Well, let's say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of gamer energy generated by a set of screenshots. Based on this post's awesomeness, it would be a Twinkie thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds.
JWC @ Jan 22nd 2009 7:02PM
Awesome. Tasty even.
Wirebrain @ Jan 22nd 2009 9:07PM

Vegeta (aka Ska Oreo) @ Jan 22nd 2009 7:16PM
I....
How can it be too realistic when Ghostbusters was a live-action film?
Moptimus Slime (Leader of the Ryan Scott Defense Force, A Wurr? My Burr) @ Jan 22nd 2009 7:31PM

Chin-Poh (I wuv you Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged!) @ Jan 22nd 2009 7:32PM
Maybe he was thinking of the two animated series?
Levi @ Jan 22nd 2009 7:35PM
Uncanny valley perhaps?
Dr Jeckyl and Mr ESC. @ Jan 22nd 2009 8:22PM
Remember Extreme Ghostbusters, that show kicked ass.
It was when cartoons had quality and weren't pokémon rip-offs. Those were the times.
Wiinterfang @ Jan 22nd 2009 9:11PM
Flapjack is awesome.
slycooper_rocker [psn:slycooper_rocker] @ Jan 22nd 2009 9:39PM

DBuck_Eye @ Jan 22nd 2009 10:10PM
^Where the hell did that come from? I mean, it's true and all, but god was it from left field.
samfish @ Jan 23rd 2009 12:18AM
Not realistic enough for me. Damned uncanny valley. I'd kind of preferred it if they took a more subtlety artistic approach to the characters.
Freelance @ Jan 22nd 2009 7:22PM
I prefer the Egon from The Real Ghost Busters cartoon.
Dr Jeckyl and Mr ESC. @ Jan 22nd 2009 8:17PM
That cartoon theme will haunt me for all eternity, thank you now I'll be singing it for the rest of the day.
Negativecool @ Jan 22nd 2009 7:43PM
God damn those screenies look nice!
I want to believe.
required @ Jan 22nd 2009 7:44PM
I don't recall the slime being green or being that green. then again I might be thinking of alien slime.
Dr Jeckyl and Mr ESC. @ Jan 22nd 2009 8:24PM
The slime in G2 was purple or pink but slime generally is green.Like Slimer.
samfish @ Jan 23rd 2009 12:23AM
In the movies, the slime from ghosts was generally clear, like snot or something.
BlingGnome @ Jan 22nd 2009 10:42PM
They need to remake the original Ghostbusters game for the NES
