I was dumb enough to buy the horse armor. But, at least my horse looks pimp. Right? NM.

Aiding the Outcasts? That sounds more like something that has to do with the Brotherhood of Steel Outcasts, which as far as I know, didn't exist back in 2077. Maybe they send you to the simulator...I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I'm pretty sure the entire Operation Anchorage DLC takes place inside of a simulator.

The Outcasts are looking for some technology hidden in a Vault only the player can access, and therefore, ask for the player's help. The Vault can only be accessed by completing a simulation--Operation: Anchorage.

Sweeeeet. I'm only missing the achievements for the end quest, Neutral and Bad karma and the one for 20 dolls. I can't get the last one in this playthrough since you can't go back to it after completing a certain quest. I'm hoping they can "open" it through a DLC or something so my first character can have the stats increase as well. Anyway, I like what they have done with the achievements. I need to pick up a lot of prepaid cards. There is so much DLC I need to get coming soon, including some that have been released like Knothole Island and GRID's 8 Ball Pack. The Maw impressed me too.

I just cleared every achievement. Unlocked all 1000 the other day... and now Bethesda throws this at me! Isn't it good enough that I named this my GOTY?!

I'm well aware of that, but that doesn't solve my problem of not being able to access the area, unless you are saying that you can start a new story with the same character. If so, then you have heard something I have not, which is SHOCKING to me.

Dogmeat armour anyone? That pooch could do with a bit more protection, or mounted rocket launchers, or just the concept of self preservation.

I could tell the moment I picked him up that Dogmeat was too weak to be of much use to me. I immediately fast-traveled to Megaton and left him in my House. It's ok, Wadsworth is keeping him company.

Sweet I didn't know this was going to get more achievements. I haven't even scratched the surface of the main Fallout 3 plot (or sub-plots) yet but I'm definitely getting this and the other two in February and March.

I think it's one of the future DLC packs that does that. (The last one as far as I can remember, which is smart on their part.. I bet downloads for the other 2 DLC would tank if you couldn't level up while playing it.)

If it's like Oblivion, it will appear on the map as a mission in any previously saved games.

The one i'm waiting for the the one thatraises the level cap. I've played games of oblivon where I did every quest and NEVER hit the level cap. I haven't even got half way through the main quest in Fallout and I'm level 18. That's the one thing I hate, you level up way too fast.

I'm not even close to be done with the original game and they are adding more? Damn it! I expected to be done with the original by 2010...

Man did I had issues with the "head of State" quest. This one was buggy as hell and I had to reload and restart that quest 4 times.

As for Dogmeat, that bastard kept dying at every corner so I got tired of reloading and left him for dead. He was a poor man best friend anyway. My dog in Fable II was ions better.

I had some issues with Head of State too. My biggest problem was that when the slavers told me I could meet them to kill the ex-slaves, I couldn't find them outside the camp. They're a bit away from the camp, far enough away that they don't show up on your compass when you fast-travel. I wound up wiping out the slaves, wandering for a while, coming back, and finally finding them when I tried to hoof it to a nearby location.

Once you get to the part of the quest after you give the picture to the slavers they leave their area. I'm hearing a lot of people call that a bug, but it isn't.

If you give them the plans and they are gone, just fast travel to the subway entrance to the left side (from Lincoln's Memorial looking toward Washington Monument) and wait for 24 hours. They appear there as they've walked from their camp to that location.

This is of course if this was the problem you were having.

No, my bug was really a bug. Once you give the picture, the npc tells you that they will be ready to leave within the hour. So you fast travel 1 hour in time and you see them all leaving as one caravan. So that part works.

then you fast travail to the mall subway near the memorial. once there, you wait 24 hours and all of the sudden, they show up. So far so good.

This is where things bugged, instead of going right toward the memorial (and complete the quest) they would head the opposite direction, into a subway, all to way to Rivet City and walk who knows where (I stop following them after an hour or more of real life wasted).

Had to reload 4 times to finally get them to walk the right direction and all of the sudden the quest was complete even before reaching the memorial.

it sure was a pain.

God I can't wait!

Have 45 hours into it at the moment. Haven't even come close to finishing it. But I will be downloading this day 1, either way. Its going to be so much fun!

As to the person asking about a simulation... i've read that the whole thing is in fact a simulation. Thus how you actually "get" to Anchorage.

I Hope its not only 4 quests.. even though the main quests are usually longer.. but that would be kinda short.
