Born To Run is my personal favorite song. Interesting choice for a clip though, not what I'd expect.

Maybe I should buy GH.

Not really worth it if you already have RB2. I bought GHWT expecting "Guitar Hero 3, but with more instruments" (GH3 was the first game of this type I played and I liked it quite a bit).

Good thing Amazon allows you to return things over 30 days from purchase during the holiday season . . .

GH:WT is inferior to RB2 in almost every way (it has a few features which are nice innovations). If you can get it cheap and already have instruments, it's not horrible, but I would recommend RB2 first if you don't already have it, Springsteen or no. I will be downloading Born To Run, however.

Dont listen to those guys. GHWT's notes are far Superior to RB2. Its track list is a LOT better and the abillity to create and download your own songs means the game will never end. I found RB2 stale and boring, its track list sucked (for me) and it wasnt anywhere near as fun as GHWT.

i would of stuck up for ghwt over rock band as rock band fucked ps3 users over

but what i've found is that the game was rushed and gets boring quickly. And the drums could have been amazing if they hadn't been so ambitious to add sensitivity which has fucked up most sets....like mine :(

for anyone with the same problem the midi cable didn't work for me, try it by all means but it just didn't work for me

Pirate. I bought GHWT. I was very stupid. GH Tunes stopped being fun after five songs. Most of them are poor quality, there's only a few good ones that are ok for the whole band, the rest of them are either one or two instruments, at most. GHWT song list is ok. Nothing more. Tried the drums? I started with the Drum Tour mode. After 10 songs of pretty much beating the same rhythm over and over again I said 'enough'. It seems that the songs are, again, picked mostly for guitarists, not for the whole band. The whole 'band' thing is overrated anyway. There are no band mechanics, like in Rock Band. It's more like a Single Player game with four player support. The charts are still lacking, (not as bad as the GH3 tho) and the presentation... more childish, pink/purple and awful than ever (never was a fan of GH style). And don't even get me started on the most AWFUL DLC in comparison to what we get in Rock Band. Also, GHWT tracklist being superior? With all the songs in both games and more and more (this weeks 'The Joker' for instance) coming to Rock Band - your point is quite weak.

Notice that The Pirate's "arguments" are all opinion.

Fact: RB2 does almost everything better than GHWT, in the important aspects. Saving teammates as opposed to everyone failing if one person can't keep up; activating overdrive ("star power") per person instead of anyone using it all up -- sometimes on accident -- doesn't make sense, a MUCH crappier heads up display (seriously, that thing is useless when you have 4 people playing at once -- go watch a RB video on YouTube and you can see how much better it is) . . . ah yes let's not forget how horrible the menu is for choosing songs. You can have it in alphabetical order by artist or by song title, and that's about it. Oh and there aren't any dividers either, it's one giant list grouped together -- again, RB2 handles this MUCH better.

In the end, pick whatever game you want, I certainly don't care. But after owning both, RB2 just does it much better than World Tour, period.

@Pirate The song list is good (maybe better than RB2), but the note charting is HORRIBLE.

Just a heads up but you might want to change your story a little bit. The content will be free starting Tuesday the 27th until the following Wednesday (2/4/09). So it'll be free for a whole week instead of two days :P Not that big of a difference but 5 days none the less :)

What fantastic timing. I just ordered GH:WT. Should be here on Monday or Tuesday. I only wish RB2 was out over here. Honestly, waiting this long is rediculous. 9Which is why I took the plunge and got GH:WT. Need the instruments anyway, coz the RB2 ones aren't even out for the 360 version over here, which has been out since November :s)

Oh yeah, it's clearly the better game, and I will still buy it when it finally comes out, but Harmonix has lost out on selling me their plastic instruments by being such arse-holes about Europe (and the rest of the world that isn't North America). In fairness to them I can see why it came out later over here, because they would need to licence it for all the different countries it's being sold in (the songs I meen), but the supremelly long delay between 360 & PS3 releases is just infuriating and why are the instruments not out yet even for 360? Can't attribute those to licencing issues. Anyway, buying GH:WT band bundle is no loss to me really, its Harmonix that are loosing out (and Red Octane doesn't care which I buy, they win either way)

Are you kidding me? The video you put up is an acoustic version of Born to Run. The song in GH will be the big band electric version, seen here:

There is a MASSIVE difference.
