How could you wish the game to be spookier? The spook lvl is just fine. My PKE meter tells me the the Spook lever was Higher then GOZER! And the game made Zuul Shit its pants.

You actually call that game spooky? Sure it was dark and phantoms were all around but I'd hardly call it spooky. The first one wasn't really spooky and this one doesn't look like it's going to be any spookier.

PS anyone who shits their pants at this game should still be in diapers it's not scary.

TBH i was totally uninterested in FEAR2.. the first one was great, but nothinig i'd seen about the sequel looked to be an advance.

But everyone has said the demo is really cool, so i might have to check it out...

Is this one going to be better than Perseus Mandate?

Perseus Mandate wasn't made by Monolith, and I remember reading that they were very dissatisfied with the direction the story was taken by this other developer. I never played the expansion, but supposedly it took the focus away from Alma, and Monolith wishes to fix that.

Well that's good. There's really no reason to play Perseus Mandate, after all, if you've played the first game, you've essentially played this one.

Nice, I've been looking forward to the Wipeout demo. Having never played any of the originals I was a bit reluctant to drop 20 bucks on a digital copy with no resale value that I couldn't try out first.

I let the Wipeout HD demo download in the background while we watched an hour long TV episode on DVD... When it was over, the demo had reached 7%. I paused it to let 4x the megabytes worth of videos to dl in 5 minutes. Guess that demo is pretty popular.

The DVD player on the PS3 stops background downloads.

Why was this demo not released earlier? Like launch? I mean I wanted to buy this game when everyone was going nuts over it, but didn't want to blow the 20 bucks on something I was really really unsure about. I mean the last game like that that I played was either the last wipeout on PSP which is totally different than the PS ones, or F-Zero GX...so yeah, this is nice to have but hopefully I can actually get it in a reasonable amount of time considering Levi's comment... :(

still skeptical, i hated the first because of boring enemies, and bland environments.

i really appreciated this demo though because it wasn't a resource hog like the first game was, and it looks awesome and hopefully will be a lot more atmospheric.

my only dissapointment is the environments still are a little stiff in interaction. the sound doesn't work on my demo so i can't comment on how scary it is, but the ghosts did give me a few jumps.

FEAR demo is alright... it seems to control a lot more fluid than the first one. The phantoms are well done, but the enemy soldiers are pathetic.. i had one instance where a soldier kicked over a sofa for cover, but i was already behind him... so he just sat there and let me shoot him in the head... they just seem to be totally stupid, like moving turrets.

Wipeout HD is something I bought at launch, and is totally worth it, despite my horrible skills.
