I have to say KZ2 looks better, but I haven't seen gameplay of Uncharted 2 yet either. Seeing the sparks and debris bounce and enemies get knocked around by gunfire is awesome. I know Naughty Dog is a talented developer though, so I'm sure this won't disappoint.

I'm also buying both. I mean, why decide between when both is even better?

Yea, I'm definitely going to buy both as well. Uncharted is still my favorite ps3 game.

Although I have to say that I might pay someone like Ben Heck a couple bucks to whip up a couple DualShock360 controllers for me. Shooters with the ps3 controllers cramp up my hand something fierce :(

I'll be getting both, even though I haven't been impressed with the Killzone series so far.

Sorry, wrong person. I actually have no idea but something tells me it's still going to be in 720(p). It just looks better because the dev team is pimping out their engine (notice the shadows and how much that contributes to the look).

Don't think it is, no. 720p, most likely.

GoWIII is 1080p, though.

Anyone else think of Gears of War 2 when they saw that initial cover shot?

Far Uncharted 2. "Fine dusting of cocoa powder" indeed.

Are you sure you should be calling pre-renders (or at least highly touched up) "screens"?

A console did not output these screens. These are print quality shots for advertising and promo purposes, so they were probably rendered at 300dpi.

Nevermind, I can't say that for sure. I'll wait to see in game vids for myself. All I know is that I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if those were in game shots because the first Uncharted looked damn amazing.

Apart form downsampling (which all commerical screenshots go through), these are taken straight from gameplay, with no touching up at all, as confirmed by a Naughty Dog employee on neoGAF.

Ya downsampling, aka rendering at an extremely high resolution and then shrinking it so theres no aliasing or artifacts. I wouldnt call that gameplay, these screenshots are so impressive (along with all the other faked press shots from other games) because they arent gameplay, theyre perfect while what you play is far from perfect with its aliasing and real-world anisotropic filtering.

Whoever mentioned above that it was hard to kill the AI in the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune demo is kind of on to something (even though they don't take 10 shots in the head to die; it takes one).

I noticed in both the demo and the full game is that when you aim, especially with the first 9 mm pistol, the actual shot makes contact at the bottom of the circle reticule. This makes aiming for headshots slightly different then what you'd expect but an adaptive (i.e. normal) gamer adjusts to this within the first five minutes.

The demo seemed a little off compared to the actual disc game to me. Also, I didn't enjoy the demo very much but I ended up loving the game. It's fantastic.
Not perfect, but one of the best games for a still young PS3.

Wow, thats pretty damn impressive screenshots. I know that the 360 doesn't have anything this good looking coming out any time soon and this is from someone that owns one. Good job Naughty Dog. Kudos.

Whoa wait! Even though I do not have a PS3, I thought one of the reasons I was attracted to the game was due to it's lush locations and variety in the color pallet.

Apparently the devs went "Ok we have success, we now must make it main stream! LETS MAKE EVERYTHING SHIT BROWN LIKE 98% OF THE POST-GEARS GAMES ON THE MARKET!! $$$"

Dude, the screenshots are just from one level. I don't know why people think that every level has to be an orgasm of color.
