Putting on a fortune teller hat and looking into a crystal ball, Ubisoft is preparing for a new wave of gaming hardware that they expect to drop in 2012.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot admitted that "we have now enough to help us to grow the company for not only next year but to get ready for the coming of the next generation consoles" which he predicts is "going to happen 2011, 2012." Guillemot goes on to explain that Ubisoft will prepare for the upcoming next-next generation by hiring additional employees and investing in technology.
To that, we say thank goodness there are still companies that are hiring, not firing. Secondly, we think Ubisoft may want to discuss their 2012 new hardware forecast with the folks over at Sony. Their 10 year PS3 life cycle doesn't quite gel with Ubisoft's prediction.
