Wii Warm Up: Bikini Zombie Marketing

The live-action Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers ads have taken a unique and creative approach to game advertising. Trailers tend to be totally dry affairs stitched together from in-game CG and occasional gameplay, but D3 decided to indulge in ridiculous skits set in a world where zombies live alongside humans, and suffer discrimination (or worse) just for ~~eating people~~ being different.

Did you find the ads funny? Did they affect your opinion about the game at all? And even if you didn't necessarily dig these particular skits, do you think publishers would do well to explore this kind of content as a break from the usual trailer format?

I lol'd at the pizza one, I think they're good to promote a game with a ridiculous concept like this one.

I should probably watch these sooner or later.

Doesn't matter if I do or not, though, as I'm already intending to buy the game so advertising is wasted on me!

I haven't watched these videos but why is so much attention being showered upon this series? Zombie Hunters on the PS2 is a terrible game, a few steps above Ubisoft shovelware, but terrible all the same.

...because there's nothing else to report about wii related.

there were a few Sony topics posted here as well in the recent week.

there's definitely a shortage of Nintendo related material.

Also just because it may be terrible doesn't mean it shouldn't be reported on. Look at all the other crappy articles we have to sift through. I mean... Sandy Beach? Do we really care?

...and for that matter what happened to Thursday Game Nights??

Yeh, I got WIFI two weeks ago and since I've been hangin out for the Thursday Night announcement.

If the fanboy staff doesn't want to play atleast post up the chatroom so we all can talk gaming and play against each other.
