We're well aware that there's a drug-dealing component to GTA: Chinatown Wars, but the details on it have been a little lacking -- this post won't help much. MTV Multiplayer learned that players may want to sell drugs in Chinatown Wars because cash from missions won't dramatically increase in payout, unlike other GTA titles. Selling drugs is apparently one way to increase cash flow.
According to Rockstar, locations for deals are plentiful and won't detract from the action in the game. The drug economy is also affected by destruction of CCTV cameras. The more you break, the less valuable the drugs become (yes, less, it seems counter-intuitive). No word yet if Rockstar plans to have drug prices in the game reflect current standard market rates.

Less competition equals higher sale price. More cameras cracks down on the competition. Monopoly = t3h ca$h

I liked more stealing kick ass cars and selling them for money or Assasination missions.
I'm playing GTAIV again and it needs a patch so you can get money capturing criminals or Killing them. That way I canpretend I'm playing that Pursuit Force Sandfox game that Big Big Japan is never going to develop.

No, that actually makes sense. The more CCTV cameras you break the less chance there is of getting caught, making it more easily available, and driving prices down.

Couldn't agree more. This is completely tasteless on Rockstar's part.

You take offense to selling drugs? But hiring a hooker, having your choice of sex acts to perform and then killing her and taking your money back is still ok?

I..what?
Please tell me you're kidding. I mean you have no problem wtih killing random people, yet somehow a minigame based on selling drugs finally convinces you that Rockstar is being tasteless?
Lol, wut?

Isn't there already a game where you torture your enemies called Manhunt? As for throwing acid in the faces of immigrants, it's not technically throwing acid, but what about Doom 2 and all those other games where you fight alien invaders? Technically, they're immigrants.
Still, I do agree that the drug dealing mini game is tasteless, but then again, so is the entire GTA series.

I always felt the game already was reaching for violence for the sake of controversy. Of course the game is about a criminal, you can expect over the top stuff, but I feel they just want the controversy to speak louder than the game, and it's an unnecessary move, in my opinion.
It's just like what happened with RE5 and the "black zombies", the game is set in Africa so the controversial was kind of out of place, but with the history they have in courts, it's like they are begging to make the news this year again.
I don't even like the game, so don't listen to me, maybe I'm biased.

GTA4 gave the option of handjob, blowjob, or full-on regular banging.

Yeah it's like the 1800th rehash of the addicting little Drug Wars game. I had it on my Nokia 3300 a few years ago (java version) and tried to convince one of the Danger developers to port it to the Sidekick but they were too lazy.
