See how Spore evolves with 'Galactic Adventures'

One of several Spore projects on tap for 2009, the expansion will give players the ability to design whole planets and build their own adventures, then share them via the same web-based mechanism as other game creations. Maxis has put together a "behind the scenes" look into the concept -- which, even if it doesn't address all of Spore's sore spots, will at least allow for planets that look like adult novelties.

I agree but I kinda expected this for good or ill. I wonder if they always had it planned this way or if GA is a response to the harsh-but-accurate criticism of the game. I'm looking forward to this but it's gonna hurt my wallet.
And the DRM doesn't scare me.

Anyway, I didn't buy it because of the DRM, and I didn't pirate it because that's wrong, and I heard that the game wasn't that good.

I didn't bought it because um well knowing Maxis the game would've drain the little of what the Sims 2 and Card games left.
Although it looks awesome maybe I'll buy it when I finish all the stuff I have to do in this and the next year.

If it's anything like the change the fanhouse blogs (also part of the AOL blogsmith network) went under a week or so ago it's going to be SICK and SLICK. They actually (wait for it) let you LOG IN and then comment. Instead of having to log in for each comment.

RIP R.L. Causton: We won't have the same commenting functionality as Fanhouse YET – we're getting there. They run the same Blogsmith backend, but have a custom comment system. They also have a really slick forum package I'm hoping to get my hands on as well.
