The more we see of the upcoming tri-Ace developed, Square Enix published, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, the more excited we seem to get. Not only is the Star Ocean series one of the most beloved, classic role-playing franchises still kicking around, both the CGI and in game footage of the game look impressive. Honestly though, we just get overly excited when effeminate heroes jump out of their spacecraft pilot seats to stare blankly at a monitor and luckily this trailer showcases that move twice. 'Round these parts we call that, "Supreme pimp pointing." Star Ocean: The Last Hope lands Stateside on February 24.

Doubtful, this is Square Enix we're talking about. They really have gotten into a rut of making EXACTLY the same game over and over, the only thing that seems to change is the graphics, which they can do beautifully. The video is jaw dropping, the dialogue is horribly cheesy, but I will be having a look when it comes to the UK.

It certainly *looks* better than the RPGs the PS3 is getting - PS3's Disgaea and Cross Edge use sprites and models ripped from PS2 games!

ok to begin with evan you have absolutely no idea what your talking about disgaea is an amazingly in depth game with more game play than any of the two minute wonders on xbox 360 which really console wise comes up a distant second to ps3 however and unfortunantly xbox 360 has alot more game releases(for now so laugh it up while you can) and i bought one solely for so4 which will hopefully guide sqaure enix back to sort of standard they were creating before the enix/squaresoft merger. to sum it up star ocean 4 looks amazing just hope its got sum story to go with the graphics

Actually Last Remnant wasn't that bad. If you go for all boss fights and full achievements, you discover an incredibly hardcore RPG with hundreds of quests and tasks, hundreds of rare monsters to find and kill, weapons to craft, incredibly hard skills to learn.

This is the game why I bought myself an Xbox360 last year.
Though it's flashed, and I have tried most of the exclusive games on it, this console fails. So this game better be worth that 300$ I spent on the console. -_-
If The Last Remnant wouldnt be so laggy it would've been a really great game actually, let's hope the PC/PS3 versions will have that 'bug' fixed. :)

Fook me running that combat looked sweet...funny how this and FF13 was my strongest reason for buying a PS3 so early, now I have to get a 360 to play this awesomeness of an rpg... the day of biting the bullet is at hand. Damn you tri-ace. And if its anything like the other SO.. it will be better than IU. Star Ocean pwns.
