Isn't this the third version of this Wonderboy to come out on VC? At least it's a good game. The Genesis version is one of my top ten favorite games of all time.

I'm still waiting for them to release "Young Nasty Man". I hear it's comparable to Wonder Boy.

Was WonderBoy in Monster Land available on the Spectrum or maybe Atari? I have recollections of playing it and it being awesome. I might be wrong.

Wow I'm old but my memory is still better than yours. Wonderboy in Monster Land is from the Sega Master System. I remember buying it back in 1988 with some Christmas money and actually liked it better than Zelda at the time. It's a shame Sega lost its touch with making a decent game today because of all their games Wonder Boy deserves a true update, they did a good job on the Genesis version but then nothing.

Well since you made me go look.

Wonderboy in Monster Land was released on - Arcade, Sega Master System, Commodore 64, PC Engine, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum, Amiga, Atari ST.

That would include both platforms I thought it was on, so meh to you.

Niki Rock 'n' Ball looks good. It has co-op and a lot of levels. It has received good reviews from some sites.

And $5 is a pretty good price.

I actually might try that Rock n Ball. Looks interesting enough for $5.

I always liked the uniform background of the Master System games. It's really didactic - it's that math paper.

Watching the video reminds me of Peggle and Bubble Bobble.

There is a Bubble Bobble WiiWare in development.

The game will be $8 dlls, 400 Stages, 4 Player co-op and 2 DLC packs costing 200 points each with 50 stages each pack of very hard "expert maps".

Now, if only HAL released a new Adventures of Lolo WiiWare, or at least a remake... that would be awesome.

I've just finished a game that was pretty story intensive so I'd be interested in a bit of casual wiiware gaming, and from all I've seen, this game seems interesting. Really cheap as well.

Another SMS game and still no Phantasy Star 1.
Oh well, I guess we have to keep waiting but at least they are releasing the VERY few decent games on the SMS instead of all the junk they could release for it.

While it doesn't contain Phantasy Star 1, I wanted to make sure you know that 2-4 are on the Genesis Collection on PS2 and PSP.

Am I the only one disturbed by expression of psychopathic glee on Wonder Boy's face as he cuts down his opponent?

Man, I had almost forgot how horrible the box art for Master System games were. Why was the console artwork so bad at that time? The home computers had some awesome box art. Hell, I still say Jet Set Willy has the best of all time. You don't get see many games with the hero being sick into a toilet, right on the cover do you?

Niki - Rock 'n' Ball sounds a lot like Iggy's Reckin' Balls. Is there any connection there?
