Either you have the worst sense of humor ever in that you don't get the 50 caps or 100 pieces of scrap metal is a joke or you have the worst sense of humor ever in that you can't capitalize on their joke.

Whatever the reason: You have the worst sense of humor ever.

Awesome! I am going to snatch this up quick. I have also been thinking about picking up the PC version because right now I have it for 360, but I would like some of the other mods.

Okay, someone can guarantee-confirm that the new content is for PC, as well? Can I use my pre-existing XBL points or do I need to get GFW points now, too?

Yes, it's out on PC. Some people have already completed the DLC.

Microsoft points work on both the GFWL service and XBL.

Just finished it. They have crafted one excellent piece of DLC, unlike Knothole Island.

I like Knothole Island quite a bit, actually...though it's a lot more enjoyable when you go through it with a character that's not totally maxed out. That way some of the stuff you pick up is still useful. I think it (and that exclusive Deadly Halls dungeon,) will play better as part of a "Lost Chapters" release somewhere down the road.

One other thing, the ninja armour is neat. It does something cool if you're crouched while wearing it (switch to 3rd-person to see it.)

Knothole Island was around the same length, and while the quests weren't particularly interesting, the island itself was at least very beautiful in all three different states, and it added in far more content than this does.

Since you've finished it, can you answer a couple of questions?

1. Level cap - once I have this DLC, can I continue to level up past 20 in the regular game?

2. Endings - does the DLC take place after finishing the game, or can do do that part before I've finished the regular game?

Thanks

1. No this content doesn't increase the level cap, that's in the DLC planned for March.

2. I got the quest shortly after loading my level 20 character save. It might require a minimum level to activate or it might just give it to you at any level like the Oblivion DLC.

As much as I want to play this, I think I'm going to wait for them to lift the level cap and just get all 3 DLC packs at once. I've got enough to play right now anyway.

Yeah, it's lame, but what can be done about it? Just another game that ended up better on the 360. Not a problem, at least for me, 'cuz I plan on owning a 360 soon anyway, and it's not too hard to overlook this when I look at the games hitting the PS3 this year.

Plus, I've already got the PC version (I think it's the only PC game I've bought in the last six months or so) and it's more than likely better than either of the console versions.

Well I would say I would get Fallout 3 on 360 when I get mine in the next week or so......but damn that......I might not even buy the game now......but if they announce they will release the patch for the PS3 version to NOT end @ the end of the game then I may get it on there........sorry but Exclusive DLC isnt going to make me spend MORE money to play the game on 360 than on the PS3.....hell MS should have spent those MILLIONS on keeping their staff employed for a few more months.......I mean I'm sure they may yield a higher return on the DLC than they would from the employees.....but shit....they may have fired the dude with that MULTI-Million dollar idea.......and he is going to go somewhere else and make THEM money.....

Yes, and two years ago, when Microsoft inked the deal, they magically knew Congress would destroy our economy by dumping monopoly money into it and scaring investors who have no idea what our elected officials will randomly come up with tomorrow. Yes, Microsoft is a world-class psychic, capable of looking two years into the future to predict something that no one but the crazy people that have a modicum of economic knowledge like Peter Schiff saw coming.

Or maybe the fortune telling leprechaun in Microsoft's closet had a bad cheesesteak sandwich and was messed up that day.

By my logic? Do you know what a legally binding contract is? Apparently not. If Microsoft decided to just back out of the deal and not pay Bethesda for this to, as you say, fund labor for a couple more months, the resulting lawsuit would cost more than just the bought out DLC exclusivity does, thus giving Microsoft an excuse to lay off even more people.

Yes, great strategy.

You know, I don't think you had to be crazy to see this coming. It seems like every single one of my professors for the last 2 years would talk about something like this happening in the near future. I always thought they were just being a bit too pessimistic. Shows what I know.

not to mention it didnt take a GENIUS to tell this shit was coming........Economist have been warning about this for YEARS........hell Dubya new it and he aint the smartest bastard in the world......

I was being a bit facetious. I've been a big follower of Peter Schiff for years now and I even told my parents back in 2005 to not buy a house in Florida for an investment or otherwise. I was advised I was insane for even suggesting it in a debate with the professor in an economics class during college. I said that housing costs rose faster than incomes for 10 years (from 1995 to 2005) so there was no one who could legitimately afford the homes at the prices. The only result that anyone who stopped to think about it and didn't have dollar signs in their eyes was the housing prices would crash because no one was out there who could actually buy them.

But, because I didn't have a PhD, I was immediately wrong according to the standard university thought process.

Your argument was why did Microsoft pay for exclusive DLC. I responded. There's little to argue with at this point. Hypothetically talking about future DLC agreements that have not been signed is pointless. Besides, what did Microsoft cut? Flight Simulator, which had toilet level sales for years and other positions that they should have cut regardless of what the economic situation is all about.

Jobs aren't what drives an economy, it is a symptom of a well functioning one. What mainly drives an economy is investment. I would actually fault Microsoft for not investing further into future product that could drive future sales, which negatively impacts the economy on the whole.

This current environment did little more than highlight positions that were unnecessary for the operational success of Microsoft. During strong economic times, jobs that have little purpose to a company tend to not be noticed because it isn't imperative to look for them.

Same with house prices in the UK. There's no shortage of them, but the prices more than doubled in a few years.

So even before the global recession, people couldn't afford them and then the middle-class conservative newspapers acted suprised when the market collapsed.

There were multiple points in that statement that you lost me. Do you have it for the PS3 already and thats your issue with not buying it again? Also, you do realize that they made arrangements for the DLC a long time before the current financial situation. (Also, MS isn't failing financially) I know we keep going around this same circle - but this games DLC deal was in a different fiscal year.

Sorry, but you talk about business with emotion only, its clear you have never owned a real one. If CFO's and such ran around basing decisions off emotions and just screaming to do something because it was the nice thing to do, then many businesses would fail very fast.
