Yeah, some of the movies are in HD, but not in Blu-Ray HD.

Anything that makes my girlfriend turn on the 360 is an amazing feat of ingenuity, progress, and twizzlers.

I signed up for it mostly interested in the instant movies streamed to my Xbox. But after realizing that they barely had any decent movies, and that the quality was crap I canceled the trial.

The quality isn't crap unless your internet connection is crap. Is your internet connection crap?

For everyone saying they need to beef up their offerings, you don't get it. It's like HBO (or The Movie Channel perhaps), not like renting discs. There are certain movies available each month, and most of them are library titles.

Go look at your queue and you'll see some movies won't be available next month that were available this month. Just like with HBO. Just because you can watch it now, doesn't mean you can watch it later.

So, much like HBO, you can probably find a few movies you would like to watch right now from the list of what's available, instead of you selecting the movie you want from the total catalog of movies and having a good chance of it being there.

So it's a good service, but it isn't a replacement for disc (or even online) rentals, and it isn't likely to become so soon. Hollywood is not going to replace movie sales and rentals, items they make a lot of money off, with an all-you-can-eat streaming service they don't make much money off of.

I'm still holding up on Netflix...will get it eventually once i come home from Portland in a month or so. Does Netflix offer blu ray movies, and if they do, is it in the same plan as their instant viewing plan?

To get Blu-Ray DVD's, you pay an extra $1 a month.

Netflix's 360 idea was brilliant. Just like McDonald's, who now rules the coffee world - already had the stores in place, it was just a matter of getting the product in the stores. Great move. I think their movie selection will improve over time, but this is the one to beat.

That shit should not be allowed to be called coffee. Anybody that drinks that garbage for enjoyment should get it thrown in their face.

The Netflix service on the 360 is wonderful. I love it, and there is almost always someone on my friends list using it when I log on. If not right then, they are eventually. These figures seem as they could be accurate since, it does work so well.

Streaming HD Content (if applicable)? Hell yes! Lovez!

I'm one of those people; we got the 1 DVD plan and have been streaming a lot of TV shows. So far I'm pretty happy, but I will echo that the streaming content needs to step it up. I suspect it will.

Holy crap my Queue looks exactly like the one in the picture, except I deleted Voltron.

That show was awesome when I was a kid, but I wanted to claw my eyeballs out watching it now. It's completely incoherent! I didn't realize that Power Rangers was actually an improvement.

Ever since the xbox streaming, I'm really close to signing up Netflix (for blu-ray too). But what with a bunch of television to watch this spring, and a bunch of games to play, there's no point right now. Most likely summer I'll have time.

You did opposite of me.

With Netflix, Netflix Streaming, and Hulu I determined I no longer needed subscription TV.

So no cable or sat here. OTA only, and I have more than enough to watch.

Why does anyone care what "Pachter" says. He only says what is obvious. That and then he makes outrages statements about things he knows nothing about. STOP quoting him. It only makes him feel important. And we all know how important he is to the gaming world.

I just wish Netflix was available on Europe (well i would still be able to use i under a fake address and with the help of a proxy but that doesn't count).

Please Netflix fly across the ocean.

love Netflix, but here in NYC with lame ass Time Warner, the streaming quality i get is down right embarrassing. it's like watching a puzzle, trying to figure out what goes where do to poor refreshing rates and heavily pixelated presentation.
