OH mY GOD

Cue the Jurassic Park dude saying "spared no expense..."

I'd like to see somebody pull off a Katamari themed wedding, with cousins rolling around a real katamari ball and picking people up.

just out of curiosity, what's with all the negative comments last time this was talked about?

I think the lengths to which it was taken, borders on mania, and obviously extreme nerdiness. And extreme nerdiness tends to turn people off, and a "Gah!" sort of reaction. Only you see the love here so pure, bear, to see past it all... Sniffle... If only I... If I could... just feel that, if just a moment... ...

I would consider the groom dressing up as Master Chief, and the bride as Cortana extreme.

Even then though, I'm not going to get offended by it. Might roll my eyes a bit, but that's as far as I would take it.

There ya go, the one point that matters. Clearly these two could care less about anyone getting offended or irritated at their amazing nerdiness. They wanted to do something amazingly nerdy together and get married the way they wanted to... Awww gawd, *sniffle, I'm like a leaky faucet here, *sobs, bwahahah aahhhh ahh ahh :***(

It's their wedding.

The way I see it is it's their memory and if they want to make it special but doing it themed to something they enjoy together why the hell not.

Now, if it were a dildo lightsaber themed orgy wedding I might be a little concerned for their mental state.

Whats with all the negative comments? I'm sure you're kidding, but if you're surprised you're an idiot.

Two nerds have a nerd themed wedding and put it all over the internet... Hmm, I wonder if people will make fun of them.

They seem happy, that's all that really matters. Sure it may be a little bit on the "extreme" but, its kinda cool in a really geeky way at the same time.

So was that ceremony a fake and they had the real wedding later or did they actually convince someone to dress up as Master Chief and marry them?

I was wondering that as well, because the chief said that he had never ministered a wedding before, which would lead me to believe he is not a minister (although that might not be the case)

They could have done the deed at their city hall.

You don't have to be a minister to get a one day license to officiate a wedding ceremony. Anyone can get the legal license to be the "Minister" of a wedding...

Yeah, you can get minister licenses on the internet as well. Its very common for people to get short term licenses or minister licenses so they can marry friends and such.

It's not nearly as bad as I thought but you can tell they put a lot of time and detail in the wedding. Still, I wouldn't want my wedding to be like this but the bottom line is that they are happy together.

That sounds great. I've been "accidentally" bumping into my pregnant wife, because I want them to be physically deformed. When they are born, I will paint their skin purple, and have Zerglings follow me around for Halloween.
