Looks good, disappointed that you lost a bit of your identity, but I can see why you all want to keep a uniform look between the different sites. Keep up the good work, and more pictures of Ms. Belmont can only further your cause :O

I'm happy about the name change, but I'm very sad about the loss of identity. Now I'm just thinking "why even bother reading Joystiq-PS... might as well just read Joystiq". And is this gonna mean that PSP, PS3, and PS2 stuff is going to be all jumbled together now? If so, I really don't like that.

Sylar, I may be UK based, but I can tell you that ain't no peace sign!

Around the other way (as Veriona does it) is the 'V for Victory' sign, but also peace sign.

Andrew's way is telling someone to F**K off or alike.

Is there any way to display just the PS3 content? I don't own a PS2 (both of the ones I've owned were stolen!) and I don't use my PSP anymore (anyone want to buy it?).

Change is good, but why did you have to change the name?

I'm going to miss the old name a lot. However, it was hurting us a lot. We don't really report false news or rumors, but it's hard for people not in the know to take you seriously with a name like "PS3 Fanboy." Imagine giving a publisher a business card with that on it!

Yep Andrew, that is a good point. I remember linking news to people from PS3Fanboy and most of the time i would get an answer like "Why would i believe a site called PS3fanboy?"

So the change in domain is good :P

Let me know what you liked about the old design. The good thing about this new system is that we can actually make changes to the design. Before, we couldn't do anything like that.

Maybe change the background colour back to a black and if possible, improve the logo to feature the Playstation brand a bit more (Same would also go for the other branches of Joystiq).

Is it PS3 user friendly?... or is there a site for user friendly..

I know you can access almost any website using the PS3, but some sites are too troublesome to go through with the PS3

Cool Andrew, thanks for your time! The site sounds like it'll be awesome! And I too am glad the fanboy name is gone...never really liked it. I see what you mean about it hurting you guys though, I would post on other sites "I read this on ps3fanboy" and they're always like "well, there's your problem they are so biased for the PS3" It was annoying. At least now it's a lot more mutual of a connotation.

You guys changed the name...can't even begin to say what a bad idea that was. Now instead of asking people if they go to ps3fanboy.com I get to ask "hey did you check out playstation dot joystiq dot come lately?!". Oh well.

I get that but I'm a graphic designer and I have studied branding and changing your name is one of the things you don't want to do because it deteriorates the mindshare you had. What if Nike or Apple computers decided to change their name? Mindshare would take a nose dive and consumers would start to rethink what the company they trust is all about. Trust me on this, changing your name/logo will also change how people perceive you instantly.

Apple did change their name not so long ago... It's hardly hurt them.

Apple Computers, Inc. to just Apple, inc....

Fanboy always sounded a bit immature to me, I much prefer the new look... good job!

So far the site looks good. I've got to admit that I used to check PS3fanboy after checking a bunch of other sites first. It's been climbing the ladder lately. You guys are doing a better job. I think this move is one in the right direction. I have to agree, though, that the sign-in for posting comments needs to be changed.

Good luck with the redesign.

P.S. I'm kind of glad about dropping the "fanboy" part of it because I don't like to consider myself one, but dalejrfanfreak has a point there.

Yeah,
Imagine that. Giving a publisher a business card with the name of your business on it....

I personally really liked the Blog format. Was the big reason I came here. I know you don't run the site for me personally, but I can and will get this type of format from IGN.

I suppose I'll keep the RSS feed up though. That seems to be right up my alley.

I prefer my news from a community website like this. Personally, I've liked the writing style of xbox360fanboy.com more than ps3fanboy.com. It has been improving with Andrew Yoon around. I hope PhiloSony is still going to be featured on here!
