People just can't get enough PixelJunk Monsters. PS3 fans fell in love with this charming tower defense game, leading to the release of the Encore expansion pack and subsequent Trophy patch. PSP owners are in for a treat as they'll be receiving their own version of the game later this year.
What will Monsters PSP feature? We're expecting the same content featured in the PS3 games, but Dylan Cuthbert promises there will be even more stuff in the PSP game. In an interview with Core Gamers, he reveals the team is currently "adding 50% more content or more" to the game. Those that have played both Monsters and Encore know well that this is a massive amount of content. How will we possibly get rainbows on all of these levels?
When asked if PixelJunk Eden, the third of Q-Games' downloadable games on PS3, would also receive PSP treatment, Cuthbert seemed doubtful. Eden is a far more complex, processor-intense game. "Never say never of course, but it would be quite a challenge and a number of things might have to be changed."

Its funny to think its a perfect PSP game but if it came out on PSP first it may have failed, (piracy and all)

...but it's coming out on the PSP Store. Wait...can you pirate games on the Store? If you can, then no wonder Sony's not supporting it so much.

I just looked it up. Man that is really freaking evil. Even for piraters.

This is out of context, but I think since FFXIII is coming for PS3, and 360, it should come out for PC too. I mean it wouldn't hurt anybody at all since it isn't exclusive anymore to anything. Being CONSOLE exclusive would be just stupid.
Now back to the real story:

I find if very cool that they are releasing this on the PSP, but I'm kind of upset that they are not also releasing this 50% more content on the PS3. Do they have plans to do that in the future?
My fiance and I are PJM addicts. We have rainbowed every level on regular and hardcore mode, and have completed all trophies. I'm always waiting to hear about more PJM content, but if its not coming for the PS3 it kinda sucks to have to start all over on the PSP on top of not owning a PSP or being able to play multiplayer with my fiance.
Anyone else kinda upset about that?

Yeah i was thinking the same thing. I love this game and i want to play the new content on my ps3, not just my psp. It seems stupid that they dont plan on making a downloadable map pack or something so we can get some extra play out of our ps3 version.

Nah, making your kids fear you is a terrible thing.
Letting him rot in the county jail for a few days is a great way to get your point across. If you belt your kids, the chances are good the little fuckers will call child services.
You could always get a black belt in some martial art, practice it for some decades and then when the day comes that you have kids, open up your own school and beat the shit out of your kids in the only legal way left.

What I really wanna know how the game is going to be released. Is it just disc based or will they release it on the PSN. I like how they do the PSN releases as I dont have to go out and hunt for them. I cant seem to find any info on this, hopefully they will release info on it soon enough. I cant wait.

They don't need to release a PSP version of Eden.... just connect it to the PS3 and voila! haha.

Q games is awesome for supporting the PSP in this manner...
I'm really looking forward to the launch of this as I am jonesing for some tower defense on the go... Do we have any idea what the window for release is, other than just 2009?

I'm surprised to be hear Eden could be a challenge. There are never too many complex actions happening at once, and given everything would be lower-res with, perhaps, the removal of some or all AA, I can't see where there'd be a problem. Especially after seeing recent 2D games on the system, namely Patapon 2.
