Throughout his life, actor Daniel Radcliffe has suffered from a "mild" form of dyspraxia, a developmental motor control impairment that affects not only physical coordination, but also learning. Radcliffe's dyspraxia is mostly limited to difficulty with small, precise tasks like writing or tying shoes.
He didn't let his handicap stop him from looking enough like Harry Potter to start a successful acting career, and his success in dealing with the dyspraxia may be partially attributable to our old friend video games. "I played a lot of video games as a kid which really helped it," Radcliffe told The Daily Beast. "It basically surfaces as bad coordination." And now Radcliffe's likeness can be seen in Harry Potter games, aiding the coordination of a new generation of kids unlucky enough to be burdened with both dyspraxia and Harry Potter games.

I'm glad to see that someone was helped by video games, especially someone famous - too often these days we get that whole "VIDEO GAMES KILL CHILDREN" thing in the media. This is just an example of some of the positive ramifications of gaming. Good show.

Goblet of Fire on PSP wasn't bad at all. Decent pacing and visuals were good, although it was repetitive at times (like lots of games these days). There was enough variety in what you did, using environmental items and playing the different characters to make it worth coming back to, if not a blockbuster.

No, the point was that we have another bit of evidence that games can actually help people, that they can be beneficial.

Is it wrong that I lol'd?
That aside, I love hearing about when video games help people. The mainstream news will report if a murderer has been within a mile of a gaming console within his lifetime and call it significant, but rarely do they have anything good to say about video games.

@Hyams
What a strange thing to say, comparing him to what he looks like in a book?
Tell me, what *does* Harry Potter look like?
Maybe those cover illustrations don't really look like him either.
Yea, put that in your hat and smoke it.

So games have no influence! ... unless it's a positive story, right?

While a little repetitious, Quidditch World Cup for Xbox was pretty cool.

I have dyspraxia too, to be honest it isn't a problem at all, I still play sports etc. The only issue is handwriting, perhaps it is also down to playing video games from a young age.

I wonder if my sister has this-- she seems to show some of the signs.
Anyway Harry Potter games are just....average.
If you liked the books/movies they're good. And even if you didn't.... Well, then they pretty much suck, I guess.
Though I remember liking the first one on the playstation. Don't know why.
