Man, i hope its better than the cops at NFS: Undercover

I'm playing that one on the Wii and man i'm hating to be chased every god dam minute, and they are so hard to take out. I loved how easy is to takeout cars on Burnout but in NSF:U, takes a lot!!!

I'll be looking forward to this. I was playing NFS:U last night and though "Man, i'd love some cops on Burnout". Seems like criterios readed my mind, xDDDDD

Now, if only they'd added one of my favortie features on Top Speed for the SNES:

"GAS"!!!!!!

I'd give even more challenge to the game and maybe balance more it on the monetary side of the game... well, now that i think about it, is there money on burnout?? I can't recall cuz I hadn't played in a couple of weeks, lended my copy to a pal who lended me Naruto Ninja Storm, but in Need For Speed, buying gas would be quite nice

Dammit Critereon, you guys pulling out more and more ideas and expansions. I've never seen such devotion to a single game and it's only been like what... a year??? When will it end!?

I really have to give the developers credit for continually updating an already awesome experience with more content. This is how you keep a game fresh and you don't have to rape the user base by selling skins as DLC.

You have Showtime mode. I never played the old Burnout games but after looking at the videos of Crash Mode on Youtube, it looks pretty lame. 200 car pile up because you crashed your car? At least Showtime is more believable since the other cars try to steer away from you.

Yeah, flipping over nearly perpetually is so believable.

Crash mode brought a "puzzle game" like element to Burnout, and I miss it. I'd love to see it back.

Criterion rules. Props to the guys over there. I will definitely buy the DLC since they have given so much already, plus the game keeps me coming back for more. I have only 60% complete with the game, but its one of those games that you find yourself doing many things besides your objectives. I LOVE the openness of the game.

Exactly. That's not a new cop car. It's the Hunter Citizen. (http://burnout.wikia.com/wiki/Hunter_Citizen) The other cop car is the Krieger PCPD Special, which is basically a police F1 car. Both have sirens that can be activated by pushing down on the left stick (on the 360). Previous to the Cagney update, the sirens were only able to be activated on the PCPD Special and didn't make any noise. Now they can be activated on BOTH cars and they make two different sounds.

But yes, I would love a pursuit mode...especially online! :D

When I click on basically any story on here to read the whole thing it takes me to the ame page that has a correct url with the story title in it, but is displaying a blank page with an ad and a small section "related stories from joystiq" without the article I wanted to read. This is the only one that is working for me so I left the comment here.

A few questions:
1. Is it going to be free? I mean Criterion charged for the last update, but I hope that that was just a one off.
2. Is this any different to Marked Man races?
3. Can we drive the police cars in MP and do the chasing?
4. Will we ever be able to use cars and bikes in the same game/race?

They haven't yet charged for DLC, but next week the Party Pack will be the first paid DLC. They also have said that the new island will be paid DLC, and I think the two car packs will be as well (legendary with the movie/TV knockoff cars, and the toy cars).

I've got no trouble paying for some of these upgrades. I've gotten more than my money's worth with the bikes, day-night cycles, etc that they've already added for free.
