Unable to secure a publisher, the developer of Faith and a .45 has placed the game on hiatus, reports PS3 Attitude. Faith and a .45 stars protagonists Ruby and Luke -- Tobey Maguire's evil twin brother, from the looks of him -- who face off against an enemy force led by a ruthless oilman who's out for their blood. You know, the usual song and dance. When last we heard from developer Deadline Games -- which is currently developing two downloadable games based on the Watchmen graphic novel -- the studio showcased Faith at GDC'08 in hopes of luring in a publisher. Guess that didn't go so well.

seems like they should at least wait until GDC 09 to stop working on the game. A quality showing there after it's had another year of development seems like it could convince some publisher to bite. I do want this game to succeed just because it seems to have an odd, interesting setting/timeframe.

This has been hovering about my most interested games since it's announcement trailer. Hope they get picked up soon.

Hey, Codemasters has the occasional success. Overlord and Grid come to mind.

NOOOOO! Well, hopefully they can show something off at GDC or the like, and hopefully get a publisher.
Though we havent had any information regarding this lately, my interest in it has always been there. It would be a real shame to see this go by the wayside, as it seems to have good potential.
I hope for the best! Find a publisher, please!

So much for a 'recession proof industry'. I hate the way this is affecting new original ip though. I think that this is putting developers off when considering new ideas, and I fear that ALL we'll see are more of the same sequel after sequel.

They definitely need to court Atari. Take her out for dinner and show her a good night on the town.

That's really too bad. I was really looking forward to playing this with my better-half. This is the type of game she'd really like. Will Atari save it???

They say a bunch of monkeys and typewriters could recreate Shakespeare. Apparently, the title was created by a single monkey fetus and a pen & paper.

Its time to reinvent the wheel. Developers have to scratch other resources, hit some new doors...

Maybe if they do well with the Watchmen game, they can gain some publisher interest.

There are tons of shit games published like Cabela's lol, so it's a bit ironic that Faith and a .45 can't get a publisher, at least it this game as some real potential...

I had assumed this had already come out and nobody had cared. Guess not.

How about going self published and releasing it on steam as an indie game?
