Did you actually play games growing up or did you lay out a giant mat with video game covers and have a monkey walk over it, shit, and then record where it landed? You people have made some terrible lists before but i have to admit, this one is tops...guiness may sponsor this list but i sure they didnt make it.

This list is so bad it's hilarious? Where the **** is Super Mario 3? Why in God's name is the only Final Fantasy on this list 12! FF12 is at best the 6th best Final Fantasy in the franchise.
And super Mario Kart was just a two player game, it's not even the best Mario Kart in the franchise.

This was the most ridiculous list ever. Super Mario Kart 64 was the best one, and that wouldn't even make top 10, as far as the original GTA is was OK, but Vice City was the best in that franchise. I am very disappointed.

Are these the lists of games sold? Because Super Mario Bros. for NES has the most "units sold" than any other game out there. You were right about Tetris being up there in the top 10 because its the best "puzzle" game as far as units sold. I would have shrugged it off if you would have put Mario Cart 64 up, but not the original. I mean no donkey kong, mortal kombat, starcraft, warcraft, diablo, the sims(Number 1 PC game as far as units sold)...I can go on and on. Guinness people suck, I just drink their beer.

What.. the fukc? Thtis list is bullsh!t. Ocarina of Time should ALWAYS be #1. Top 3 is the line at which I draw it as excusable, but #5 is too far down. And Wii Sports? Are you kidding? I mean, decently fun game, a nice intro to the Wii, but it wasn't a great game. Super Mario Kart? When's the last time this guy played a game. Super Mario Kart top 50 AT BEST.

However, I like to see how everybody voices their opinion and says what game they think should be on the list, it's interesting...
Anywayz, this list gave me a good laugh, because everybody knows nobody in their right mind would put together this terrible "top 50" pieces of sh*t without being mentally handicapped...
I guess we're all offended because the games that we remember from our childhood aren't featured in this so-called list. Wow. I'm impressed with how ridiculous this is. There are so many games that are actual classics that should have at least made the top 50. Command & Conquer, for one. Battletoads, Mortal Kombat, Off-Road...anybody remember these games? How about Road Rash, Donkey Kong, or even NBA Jam or one of the NHL's? Who doesn't remember getting sucked into the NHL games where you could just pound on each other, or NBA Jam where you could play as Bill Clinton? Gran Turismo, but not a single Need For Speed? Not even the 3rd? Ridiculous...

Any declarative statment can be argued so basically a top w/e list logically should be based on a popularity contest(in this case 4 gamers). Maybe include a few games like Tetris to satisfy people who stopped playing or whom play very few games but that might come across the list.
To expand:
Which games have the least bugs(technically proficient)? SC wouldn't make the list for sure then! Invisible buildings/floating drones anyone?
Which games are the most fair to the player: SC wouldn't make the list. It's impossible to balance asymetrical warfare. The pros used terran for a reason.
Which game is easy to play? Well SC still wouldnt make the list since the game was all about being able to execute the most commands per minute.
Despite all this millions of people play SC its even on tv in some countries and people have died from playing starcraft for extended periods of time. NO JOKE.
Which game was the most innovative for its time? Goldeneye, WOW, and gigapets. I hardly consider feeding an electronic pet better than owning a pet rock since you need to pay multiple times for the system and batteries. Yet it was a very successful con.
Which games are elligible for the list(I didnt see any cpu/flash) Bloons Tower Defence, Madness Interactive(every Con-artist game IE: Last Stand1&2)
Which game is the most addicting?
'' was the most talked about?
''sold the most/made the most(immediately/long term/adusted/unadjusted)
'' genre,should be included/should every genre be represented by at least 1 game in the list?
What time period is going to be considered?
You get the idea.They did mention 9/50 games that i think most of us liked though.
If the objective was to get the people to talk about games and further fuel the gaming industy then props to the people who wrote the article. And incase you were wondering, i hate starcraft.
