Agreed. And even worse is that all of their content is not available in hd.

That's awesome for them, but I already subscribe to HBO, plus I already have all the past seasons from torrent, assuming I want to watch them over my xbox. 10 bucks is too much anyway, seeing how I get 5 channels of HBO in standard def, and 3 in HD, all for 14 bucks a month.

Cost =/= Value. Sorry guys.

Indeed. I need A LOT more content than just HBO premium stuff to entice me into another $10 a month. Like how about jumping it to 24,000 movies for download...hmm? Or 100,000. Or like...ALL the movies and shows. Heck, for ALL the movies/tv shows, I'd pay $25 a month or something. But as it stands, for my $8.99 a month, I get the downloads...and ALL the rentals I want. So I pretty much get it all already.

No sale Netflix.

Agreed about the BS factor considering the current (sad) state of the economy.

I hope the streaming selection picks up the pace. I would pay the monthly asking price if i could stream any movie, any time. HBO has Deadwood, don't care for any of the rest. Paying +10 a month is pretty lame

HBO content would be cool, but agreed another $10 is too pricey

FAIL!

Unless you are really into HBO Shows and Movies. This will not be a good idea. I am sure this is HBO idea and not netflix's. Netflix wants subscribers not fees for old shows. After all we already get great TV included in the Netflix plan like weed and 30 rock why should HBO be different?

Thumbs Down on this one.

No. I already have a hard time paying the current premiums because there are few things that actually catch my interest, and I watched them all during my free trial month.

Oh hell no! For that price I could almost sign up for the actual HBO channels. Which I don't want to begin with. Ten bucks a month is more than I currently pay for my unlimited membership. Oh HELL no!

I think that netflix for the 360 is wicked but when are they going to bring that feature up north, so some of us Canadians can enjoy it too?

$10 extra for HBO? I don't think so.

I would only be willing to do something like this if it was current content, and not just making what's available on DVD available via streaming.

If I was going to pay $10 to be able to watch this on my 360, I would pay $15 to watch it on all TVs with a cable box. A price like $2.99/month sounds better to me.

I don't think so! I agree with mirage...for ten bucks, I would just add it to my cable package. I could watch it in HD and throw my favorites on the dvr.

No thanks... I can just rent all the HBO stuff from Netflix for the same price as I'm paying now. I don't need to pay an extra $10 per month for instant streaming.

I vote no, so that makes it 17 for No, and 0 for yes so far. I don't see too many people paying for this since they can get the dvd's in the mail for no extra charge. Try again HBO.

There's no way I'm going to double my Netflix subscription rate to add a handful of television shows.

As some have already pointed out, it's likely that if you're aware of and enjoy the program - the odds are you've already seen, or own it as well.

This is just greedy, especially when it's so close to the price-point of having HBO on your cable/satellite plan for their current programming (and what is that again?).

If HBO were smart about it, they would offer it up for a dollar or two, as I could see people rationalizing it to themselves as "Well, it's only a 2 dollars..."

Yet even at 2 $ I personally wouldn't consider it.

I like the idea of adding HBO to the instant streaming, but drop the price tag down or cut it off. Why pay more when you can get programs that are just as good for the initial $10 a month?

This is stupid. Why pay an extra $9.99 for shows that you can just rent on disc from NetFlix? Even if they are Instant Watch it seems a bit redundant to offer it this way. They're basically charging you twice for something you already have access to with a regular account.

In a way... though it would be charging for convenience and not having to log up your actual DVD queue with TV Episodes. Its why it would be a choice to use it or not.

Granted, I will not be purchasing this either.

No, I will be passing here.

I love my Netflix, and yes the instant streaming is getting a little stale. Its not updated enough. It was great for the first two months or so but now its getting a bit worn out. As all the good stuff has now been watched. There may be some hidden gems i've missed, but overall, its not that great.

Even though HBO may have some really good content and instant streaming of it would be nice.. I wont be paying out an extra 10 dollars a month for it. At least not right now.

If this means it aired Sunday night and I can watch it at Midnight from Netflix I'd pay up to maybe $3 extra a month. But still not $10.

I agree that $10 is too much after paying an xbox live service and a netflix service. However since I know it is like HBO mandating the price and not netflix, I'd say some additional fee is expected but not the same price it would cost to get all 5 channel HBO package on normal cable.
