I loved the first Mass Effect, I'd say its my favorite game on the 360 (and was actually the game that sold me on the system). I'm glad the sequel is going multiplatform, PS3-only owners need to experience some Mass Effect action.

I've held out on Mass Effect only b/c I still haven't finished the backlog of ps3 games I have. It's almost pointless to be multi-console if you're a working adult, esp. one with a dreadful job that seems to suck up all hours of the day.

I'm sorry. But a product that at least right now, still has at least a 10% failure rate is a complete POS. If it was any other product on the consumer market (like say, a car) the company would've already folded a long time ago. Not to mention the disc-scratching problems on some of the older models that they fail to acknowledge: "the repair cost $100, and if you want a replacement Halo 3 disc, you need to give us another $20...."
Unfortunately I had to suck it up and buy the damn thing b/c it was the only way for me to play GOW and Biohsock at the time (also Condemned and Dead Rising).
To add insult to injury, Microsoft has to charge $50/yr on everyone just to even get online for MP. That's just...pitiful. If Live were substantially better than the PSN, yeah, go on ahead and charge. But it isn't.

This games sucks, Not worth it. Even if it was and wasn't on the ps3, ill rather torrent it on PC version so my money doesnt go to the developer for not porting it. >=)

Hehe ME2? I didn't like ME not from any standpoint. This is coming from a guy who played 300 hrs + or Oblivion GOTY EDITION!!!! Graphics were crap insane glitches throughout & the RPG elements were very broken. Can't say i'm interested atm but we'll see.

Perhaps it's down to us living in a world where "better" means "has had more spent on marketing because we con you all out of an annual subscription fee to use our service" rather than physically BETTER, more advanced, more powerful, and moving forward in terms of technology?
Or are you basing that comment on the fact that more Xbox's have been sold SO FAR? - I assure you this is very much based on it being CHEAP and the fact that people generally need to buy a new one every year because it died in some way....

Most multiplat games have previously been developed on Xbox simply because the Xbox devkit was already there when they started. Over the coming year we will see more games being developed on the PS3 and ported to the Xbox. Trust. - That is if they can fit them on a DVD, or two!
Don't forget, Sony have been in the console game (excuse pun) for a long old time, they are the veterans, Microshaft only recently decided to dip their sticky fingers in the pie and are still rookies in this market, hence their using of noobish, un-ehtical marketing and the "juggernaut perk" of a cheaper pricing policy.

MS is not a 'rookie' - they are on their 2nd console, Sony is on their 3rd. I own both and enjoy both immensely; and by all accounts on a technical level both consoles are equally capable - they just have different ways of getting there. I've yet to see anything that couldn't be done on either console - including KZ2 (which I'm psyched for btw).
The rrod fiasco, MS pushing the product out w/out proper quality testing, was deplorable; but don't forget Sony did the exact same thing w/ the PS2 (disc read error) and then tried to push CG renders as gameplay at E3 '05. Unethical tactics are not the sole dominion of MS.
If you don't own one of the two systems you are missing out on excellent titles. I've said a few times already I am drooling over Uncharted 2 screens and I would personally love to see ME come to the PS3 so more people could enjoy it. It is the best exclusive this gen imo - on my 3rd playthrough and it is shame to see anyone miss it.
Don't get caught up in stupid fanboyism. Each console brings great things to the table. The 360 defined the social gaming experience on consoles this gen and Sony has brought a multifaceted and very slick system to the market. A good friend of mine who I've been gaming w/for years long ago decided we'd get any major systems in any given console gen so we wouldn't miss any great games. It's about the games, not about the platform.

I truly believe battlefield is the best FPS from our current generation. Beats Halo (technologically) hands down. I want to see the frostbite engine exploited more. (And no more mirrors edge tech demo vomit inducing BS DICE please! Points for creativity but that game really kinda sucked.)

how in the sam hill did i miss this thread? i still gotta get the first one now that i have a 360. and that said, i'd probably buy the second on 360 as well since there seems to be some kind of thing going on with the save file from the first game. plus i doubt PS3 would see a port of the first game anyway, and even if it did, it would be much more expensive than a 360 copy on eBay.
