The Sims 3 delayed to early June, non-PC versions later

It looks like the February 20 release date for The Sims 3 is definitely not going to happen. EA has announced that the game has been delayed until June 2, so you'll be starting your third virtual life over three months later than anticipated. While the game will also be released on PC, Mac, iPhone, iPod Touch and mobiles, the press release only mentions a release date for the PC version.

If you expect this to prevent the game from selling scary amounts, you're dreaming. No doubt we'll be hearing a lot more of this game in the run up to June. In the meantime, why not rediscover your love for the series and set a family on fire in The Sims 2. That's the point of the game, right?

EA probably needs more time to ready SecuROM 7.2: "You Got a Purdy Mouth" edition.

Not like I was gonna buy it anyway.....I found the Sims annoying because of the 500,000 expansion packs released, as good of a game as it was that was really really annoying

Well it was just that I felt a lot of those things should have been part of the original package. I'm not saying its bad, I think the Sims is an amazing game, I had 2. I might look into this I'd like to know the differences and changes :P

I wanna see a Sims with a lot of online functionality, that'd be awesome, and i remember it being done in an expansion too if i'm correct, but i don't remember it being all that good

The sad thing is, because of The Sims 3 not being released, The Sims 2: Complete Collection probably won't be released for another several months after The Sims 3 release.

They should add STI's to the game. If this was the case, my sim would have been the Walmart of infectious disease.

what does a Honda have to do with infectious diseases?

They delayed it to my girlfriend's birthday, and she love the sims, that works out kind well actually.

You got Sims in my Street Fighter IV, apparently.

A bit sad. If I know programming or if anything of my skills can help out EA for the Sims 3 development, I would do so because I'm such a fan... But I'm just the advertising guy.

Damn.... But anyway i will definitely add it into my how to level up blog when it's out. Cant wait..... that **** delay.

What the hell? Early June? I was expecting to be on the third expansion by then!

Damn that sucks. I'm in need of a new game right now and this was going to be it. Now i have to wait for another 5 months for this game to come out.

my wife and kids are not gonna be happy. Sims 3 is all I've heard out of them since christmas........... Oh well Ryu's battle cry's will drown out their complaints.
