The video offers up our first good look at the DLC, with principals on the project revealing that it contains puzzles even more ... puzzling than those in the retail game. It's also quite "creepy," "spooky" and "scary" -- as the viewer is told, oh, a dozen times or so. See for yourself ... unless you scare, spook or get creeped out easily.

Yo dawg I heard you like basements so we put a basement in your basement so you can put stuff away while you put stuff away.

Doesn't everyone have a cavernous sub-basement?

I'm excited for the puzzles, but damn, Ray is annoying. They shouldn't let him do videos ever again.

Exclusive DLC is one of the worst new trends in gaming there is.

srsly.
I only own a 360 atm so this isn't affecting me but I'm sure there are plenty of PC/PS3 owners who own this game who wouldn't mind the DLC.

I disagree. It is the same general idea of exclusive games. Why would one buy GTA 4 on the PS3 and/or PC when the 360 gets the exclusive DLC? That logic means that Microsoft is going to pay big bucks for exclusive games AND DLC.

Responding to Flameofdoom, I see your point but how does that help anyone other than the company that bought the exclusivity? As stated, people won't buy the multi-platform game on the system without the DLC so that doesn't tremendously help the publisher any more than whatever fat check they receive in the mail.
Maybe I'm just missing the point because I'm no insider on these matters. However, I do know that whatever the deal is, consumers are generally on the losing end of it.

No the authentic problem with DLC is that most of the time it isn’t stuff that expands the gameplay but instead concepts that they pull out of the original to make the DLC.
In other words they had the power to make the original better but they just saved it for the DLC. Yet I could be cynic.
While expansions are nice DLC seems to be intrusive. For example Crackdown had “Keys of the city” mode all this time but the developer’s just lock it and made it look like if it was DLC.
Another thing is that it seems that in order to make the DLC they make the original shorter like in Fable II I’m sure the game could have been longer and better but Lionhead decided to work in the DLC instead.
DLC isn’t a expansion more like a way to charge an extra 10$ sacrificing the quality of the main game or at least that’s the idea its giving me.

DLC sutff like this alone is the reason I'd rather wait. They might throw out a re-release like Burnout Paradise or those Metal Gear Solid games. Bug fixes too.

I think teaser videos where most of it is just developers ramble with nervous excitement about what they've tried to do instead of showing what they've done is one of the worst new trends in gaming, but that's just me.

Wouldn't you rather explore her basement for her? Makes it all the more interesting for you, and you get the pleasure of seeing her happy when you make valid discoveries :D

I've had Tomb Raider Underworld since release day, and I haven't cracked it open yet. Guess I'll wait for this before I dig in.

But, i can recall a part of the game where she went to her basement and discovered another part of the puzzle and a recorded message that her dad left her
So, you are telling me there's another basement under that basement?
And it came out with the destruction of her house????
Man, exclusive DLC sucks, i only have the wii version of the game. 'll be looking forward to the videos on youtube though

Lara has a basement underneath her basement, that has several windows (as well as a huge hole in the ground above) from which sunlight comes in.
How did they not see this place, from, you know, the outside of the house?
